FIREWEEK: First Quarter Moon - July 6th to July 12th
It's time to make your New Moon choices for this Cancer Lunar cycle. What "waters" your Soul? Where is home? Who's your family? Where this New Moon falls in your chart is where you are ready for a long in-breath, a deep infusion, a long drink of nourishment. There are days when home is the last place in the world where you want to be but you have to be there, like a movie, because it features you. We're often drowning in information, overstimulated and running on empty. What is your body trying to tell you? Is your inner child screaming? Is your inner parent screaming back? Who said life had to be this way?
New and Both New and Full Moons this month have out-of-bounds moon charts. This emphasizes their energies enormously. "Out-of-bounds" means that a planet is orbiting outside of the ecliptic, shown by the sun's path. That planet goes a little wild. Usually Sun and Moon lines are close together, Sun keeping Moon in line. However, this month Moon has its own path, quite distinct from that of the sun. Moon in mundane maps represents the people. Uranus and Pluto are together on the West Coast of the U.S. This shows great disruption there, perhaps earth movements or weird weather, certainly rebellion in the ranks. Uranus, the disrupter, runs right through Iran. Pluto, the transformer-often through violence-runs through India.

New Moon at 15 Cancer occurs before sunrise at 5:02 a.m., to begin now a new cycle of home, family, and country, those social supports which give us feelings of belongingness and identity. Cancer represents the period when as children emotional responses are formed within the family system, particularly to the entity known as Mother (from 3 to 7 years old). Belonging and acceptance become primary to our sense of security. On the World scale, between 7,000 to 3,000 BC, when religion again became Matriarchal and the Goddess reigned over planting, the hearth, and the burial of the dead, all connected with the quality of home life and secure living conditions. With the New Moon in Cancer, being secure is the desirable thing. You can accomplish much today if you keep in mind everyone has there own security needs. (The war did, in fact, begin then. In August the U.S. and UK began a huge bombing campaign in Iraq, without telling the public). Invisible transfers, long distance calls, hollow laughter in marble halls, steps have been taken, a silent uproar has unleashed the dogs of war. While the murder, mayhem and destruction perpetrated on 9/11 was wicked and tragic, the spiritual subjugation of hundreds of millions of Americans is a travesty with much broader implications. Our Whitehouse warns of the dire consequences of "rogue nations" attaining nuclear capabilities, but fails to acknowledge that the nation with the most potent nuclear capabilities is governed by rogues. Unpredictable Uranus is at the lever point of a yod, a Finger of God, a double quincunx which outlets on Bush's progressed Sun in Virgo. As it is his birthday, Bush is at the mercy of this fateful configuration. Mercury and Jupiter, which represent expanded thinking, are at the ends of the quincunx arms. Quincunxes are prone to sudden, surprising shifts, and particularly when Uranus, always full of surprises, is the key planet. Moon continues in high-energy Leo, with happy, creative aspects. Create yourself today. Invent your own form of being. Enjoy yourself.The tiny crescent of a new moon can be seen just above Venus and Mercury one hour after sunset. The sickle shape of the constellation of the lion can be seen to the left of the threesome with Regulus just to the left of the lion's head. What an awesome sight! Vitality and confidence abound. Visionary ideas regarding your future may appear from out of the deep blue and inspire as well as help in routing that future backwards to where you are now. The fun part is knowing that this nice little braid cascade of planetary wave donuts gets its pressure nested to fold all inside out through one slip knot to... elsewhere.

This conjunction speaks to the love of pleasure and, in Leo,luxury. It also relates to creative communication, and in Leo, communication which will promote one's own story. Ego can be very tied up in communication, and one can use communication for self-aggrandizement and for self-promotion. The naive excepted the surface value, while initiates were forced to hide (occult) their rituals and teachings. Until now. With the Moon in Virgo, it's a good time to do home repairs, detail work, to eat healthy, and recreate yourself. MONDAY, JULY 11th
Today's energy is much like yesterday's, but tonight is exciting. During the next two days, there is apt to be miscommunication with loved ones. Along with the extra aggressiveness in the air, that could lead to misunderstandings and fights. Put conflicts on hold for a few days, until the air clears a bit. I believe this is more than zen poetry, and is in fact, the actual recipe for the yummy slip knots you make with the compressible flux lines of the Metaverse to tie up the origin of matter from energy. The Venus/Neptune opposition comes to fruition this evening. We have been feeling this aspect since it was touched off by the Moon on the 8th and will continue to do so through the Mercury opposition to Neptune on the 13th.
Neptune represents a highly spiritual frequency that can be difficult to translate on this earthly plane. It is conveyed more easily when we share music with one another. Music is the universal language and allows us to attune with one another in ways that words won't allow. Another way to express this aspect would be through compassionate and loving service, sharing of our regal selves in ways that benefit the whole - after all we are talking about the energy of Venus in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius. Confusion and self deception enter into the equation if the ego can't surrender to a Higher Self. Using mood altering substances can lead to low self worth and exacerbates any problematic situations.

Is our ego a little too much in charge of us today, our self-will run riot? We may be reminded of the need to just practice kindness with our family members, the people we most often want to change or control.As an exercise, cut the heads off three Customs Officers (for those living in the interior, Customer Service Representatives will do) and place them in the glove compartment of a stalled and abandoned car. We have been feeling this aspect since it was touched off by the Moon on the 8th and will continue to do so through the Mercury opposition to Neptune on the 13th.
Neptune represents a highly spiritual frequency that can be difficult to translate on this earthly plane. It is conveyed more easily when we share music with one another. Music is the universal language and allows us to attune with one another in ways that words won't allow. Another way to express this aspect would be through compassionate and loving service, sharing of our regal selves in ways that benefit the whole - after all we are talking about the energy of Venus in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius. Confusion and self deception enter into the equation if the ego can't surrender to a Higher Self. Using mood altering substances can lead to low self worth and exacerbates any problematic situations.

Wax fingers, hammocks, builders of bridges, trinkets - they all end in snakes or addiction; only you, with your gauche aromas and savoir faire, end up stumbling through the supermarket with an evacuated wasp nest on your head.
