Shruti Box

Some friends have been wondering what my newest instrument, the 'shruti box' is all about. I've only had it a few weeks now, but it went with us to our Phoenix AZ show. I haven't taken pics yet but will get to that soon (and some sounds as well), but for now, here's the best description available from checking online, written by our old pal in Santa Cruz, Ashwin Batish:

I thought I fell hard and fast in love with my harmonium a few months ago when I brought it home for my birthday, but the shruti is an adorable close second-- plus, it's portable, which makes it even more useful for taking around to shows. If you love drones, tones, chanting, anything of that sort-- I highly recommend any of these instruments for a truly blissful experience and a way to open yourself to more creative possibilities by using sound and vibration in ways you might never have before.
