P.O.W.

Great art site featuring works by Banksy and others...

Lots of nifty stuff to view and of course for purchase such as the POLITE and SPACE INVADER tape rolls (I can think of several uses for those...)

Here's the P.O.W. Manifesto:

Art is not like other culture because its success is not made by its audience. We, the public, fill concert halls and cinemas every day. We read novels by the millions and buy records by the billions. We, the people, affect the making, the taste and the quality of our culture.

The Art we look at, however, is made by only a select few. A small group create, promote, purchase, exhibit and decide the success of Art. Not more than 5000 people in the world have any real say. When you go to an Art gallery you are simply a tourist waving flags at a parade. A parade where the winner was decided without you.

We want to make Art that charts. We thought of calling it a revolutionary new way to sell Art but it’s not revolutionary. It’s just cheap.

Also, have a look at some photos others have sent in to the POW folks of PICTURES OF WALLS from around the world. I like this one:

Who's A Rat?

This just in-- from the Yippees list (thanks, dAS!)

SNITCH SITE COULD LEAD TO INTERNET HITS ON RATS

By TODD VENEZIA and MURRAY WEISS

Watch out, "rats" — a Web site claiming to expose snitches, informants and undercover cops is online and out to get you.

The Who's A Rat site has law-enforcement officials steaming, because it allows anyone who can log onto the Internet to post pictures of alleged stool pigeons, alongside information about where they can be found and what they've done.

The operators of the site say it's "designed to help attorneys and criminal defendants with few resources."

But the NYPD thinks it's also a way to put cops in the cross hairs.

"It would appear that under the guise of defendants' rights, the site recklessly puts lives at risk," said NYPD spokesman Paul Brown.

"They have a right to their opinion under the First Amendment and so do we," said Anthony Capone, spokesman for the www.whosarat.com site, when asked for comment.

Capone said the site was created by Bostonian Sean Bucci, who after being busted on a marijuana charge "got an insight into how these agents and cops utilize these informants that are more of a threat to society than their targets."

The site has nearly 300 entries claiming to have information about cops and federal agents. It also has more than 1,000 entries about civilian "rats" and other informants.

There are no NYPD officers listed on the site, but there are federal agents for several departments listed, some with their pictures. The FBI in New York thinks this could put the agents at risk.

My boss on CNN (Lou Dobbs) last night...

My, my, my... It's certainly been interesting around the office lately. My boss has been out at the Dover case and last night was interviewed by CNN's Lou Dobbs (while standing outside in the pouring rain with the CNN crew and their truck after sitting in the Dover courtroom all day long, yikes.)

I have to say it would be a breath of fresh air if instead of all of this meme-buzzing and sneaky wordplay from the folks on the side of ID (along with their lawyers), they'd just approach this thing in a more honest fashion-- all they need to do is just say point-blank "WE JUST WANT TO CHANGE THE LAWS REGARDING CHURCH/STATE SEPARATION IN PUBLIC EDUCATION". It's just shameful that after so many countless years of this ancient argument of "Who Done It?" and "Why Are We Here" that so many valuable resources (not to mention millions of dollars and countless hours of time) which could be put to much better use toward say-- um-- EDUCATION, perhaps?

Here's the (rough) transcript, in full:

The highly controversial issue of intelligent design, the focus of a new trial in Pennsylvania today. 11 parents are challenging the Dover Area School District's decision to add intelligent design to the curriculum. The families are arguing that the new curriculum edition violates separation of church and state. But the school district says the case is about free inquiry in education.

Joining me now with two very different views on this issue from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Eugenie Scott, she's the executive director of the National Center for Science Education and fighting intelligent design in the classroom along with the ACLU.

And from San Diego, Frank Sherwin, he's from the institute of Creation Research and co-author of "The Human Body and Intelligent Design," supporting teaching the theory to students. Thank you both for being there.

Let me start, if I may, with you, Eugenie. The idea that intelligent design in this case it's going to be a brief mention. It's not as if a curriculum has been designed around it, but just introducing the concept to the students of evolution. What's the problem with that?

EUGENIE SCOTT, DIR. NATIONAL CENTER FOR SCIENCE EDUCATION: The problem is that intelligent design has been judged by the scientific and the educational communities to not be science and not be appropriate for teaching in the high school science classroom. Why should we clutter up the science classroom with nonscientific ideas?

Similarly, it is an introduction of a religious view as science into the public school classroom. And why should we be violating the separation of church and state suggested by the first amendment?

DOBBS: Frank, Eugenie's concerns are certainly rational, it seems. What's the problem? Why is it necessary, in your judgment, for intelligent design to be injected into the classroom?

FRANK SHERWIN, INSTITUTE FOR CREATION RESEARCH: Well, Lou, I would maintain there's plenty of religion right now in American public schools that teach that in the young people have come from lower forms of life, ultimately from bacteria. Now, as a scientist via real problem with that. And I think it's a breath of intellectual fresh air to allow the students to understand that there is a significant part of the scientific and educational population that are not convinced that we came from bacteria.

As a matter of fact, I have to quote from Charles Darwin when he said in 1859, a fair result can be only obtained by balancing the facts and arguments on both sides of each question. So certainly we would agree with that. We are not advocating any kind of religious indoctrination, we are simply trying to show the students there's a significant group out there that believe we have been intelligently designed.

DOBBS: Well, let me ask you both this question. And we can go before going to the issues of freedom of speech, freedom of religion and separation of church and state, let me ask you both, in your judgment, scientifically, Eugenie, and you, if you will, Frank, what is the origin of life? How would you answer that question in one sentence? Frank?

SHERWIN: Well, obviously, with the complexity of life, and I have had quite a few classes in regard to the complexity of organic life as we know it, is horribly complex, Lou. There's absolutely no way naturalistic way explain the spontaneous origination of organic life from inorganic nonlife.

Now, even non...

DOBBS: Now, that tells me what it isn't, Frank. I'm asking you in your judgment in one sentence is the origin of life?

SHERWIN: OK. With the origin of life we belief a creator is behind an origin of life.

DOBBS: Eugenie, your thought?

SCOTT: In other words...

DOBBS: Your thoughts?

SCOTT: What Frank just said was -- Frank's position is God did it. Whether God did it or not, the issue that we're talking here is what do you teach in science class? And in science, you teach science.

DOBBS: No, Eugenie. What we're talking about -- No, Eugenie, excuse me -- I'm asking you is, what is the origin of life in your judgment?

SCOTT: The origin of life is as yet unsolved problem in science. We do not have agreement among scientists for a natural origin of life. However, you just heard Frank say that this unsolvable problem.

The problem with intelligent design is that it says when you have a difficult problem like origin of life, or the bacteria flagellum, or the blood clotting cascade, you should just throw up your hands and say this unsolvable. We have to say God did it. And that's not the way you teach science.

DOBBS: Is that true, Frank?

SHERWIN: Lou, I never said that. Not once in the organization I represent ever threw up our hands and say it's unsolvable. Certainly, we like to think the creators thoughts after him.

DOBBS: Forgive, I thought that's exactly what you did say, Frank. I'm sorry I thought you did say it was unsolvable.

SHERWIN: No. No. I didn't say that...

SCOTT: You did say it was unsolvable.

SHERWIN: I said we like to enjoy the investigation of the living world. When it comes to the origin of life, I said then we said, yes, life only comes from life. We believe the creator created it.

However, that's a far different issue than blood clotting cascade, the flegellum and such that Eugenie just mentioned. We love to study that.

SCOTT: Actually, I agree. I agree.

In fact, there's a big difference between what we study in evolution and the issues like the origin of life.

DOBBS: Let me ask you both.

SCOTT: And we're much more confident about evolution.

DOBBS: Is your basic objection, Eugenie -- and in court, is it the idea that we are injecting religion in the guise of intelligent design into the public school curriculum?

SCOTT: That is the major problem, yes.

Because what intelligent design says is that there exists incredibly complicated things out there in nature that by their nature are incapable of being he explained by a natural cause. Therefore, they are off the table. God did it. That's a religious view.

Although they tend to be fairly coy about who the intelligent agent is but everybody knows it is God.

SHERWIN: What we're saying simply is that life is so complex, it shows an irreducible complexity that points to a creator.

Eugenie, you're wrong, we're not saying that we advocate that God did it. We are simply leaving that up to the student.

Now, if you think this is creationism through the back door of American public schools, then evolutionary naturalism as it is presently being taught in American taxpayer paid public school is bringing atheism in through the front door.

SCOTT: Well, intelligent design is bringing religion in through the back door. And as a matter of fact, I probably have talked to more teachers than you have teachers are not...

DOBBS: Eugenie Scott, Frank Sherwin, I have got to say thank you very much. We are out of time. The case will be resolved in federal court, it appears, at least unless it is insoluble. The case has begun. And we will be following it closely as I know both of you will in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in the federal courtroom. Thank you very much.

SHERWIN: Thank you, Lou.

Pre-Apocalypse Preparedness Manual
or The World’s Ending and All I’ve got left is this Stupid Towel

(All right’s reversed, please copy and redistribute)

Throughout history many cultures have claimed that the world is going to end, but look at the headlines today: The world is already ending! Hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, wars in the Holy Land, rioting in the streets, devastation of the environment and the end of unrenewable resources, power outages, etc… You may not be in the middle of these disasters, you may not even believe they’re really happening, but here we are, the 21st century and the beginning of the end of the world.

Our purpose in writing this manual is not to be scaremongers, the last thing we want you to do in the face of imminent social environmental economic collapse is hide cowering in your basement or pretend that nothing is actually going on. As shit gets worse, and it very likely will, and our own illusions of security and stability are stripped away, the best thing we can do is be ready for the worst. Possibly nothing will happen, but even more likely it will be like nothing we could ever expect. So on that note, we give you the PAPM.

Kate Bush NEW ALBUM & SINGLE!

NEW YORK/LONDON (Billboard) Aug 31, 2005

Pianist/songwriter Kate Bush will break a 12-year album drought this autumn with the double-disc set "Aerial."

The album will arrive November 7 in Europe via EMI and a day later in North America via Columbia. First single "King of the Mountain" will be available September 27 at a host of digital download sites.

The artist, now 47, exploded onto the international charts with her debut 1978 hit "Wuthering Heights," which held the top spot in the UK for four weeks. She went on to have a string of hits with "Babooshka," "Running Up That Hill" and "Don't Give Up," a duet with Peter Gabriel.

But she disappeared from the spotlight following her 1993 album "The Red Shoes," which debuted at No. 2 in the UK and No. 28 in the U.S. Since then, the next phase of Bush's recording career has been the focus of routine speculation, while her influence was clearly heard in the music of Tori Amos, PJ Harvey and Bjork.

In October 2001, Bush whet the appetite of her devoted fanbase during a presentation at the annual Q Awards in London. While delivering her acceptance speech after winning the publication's accolade in the classic songwriter category, she told the audience, "I am actually making an album, (but) it's just taking longer than I thought," she said.

Three of Bush's albums -- "Never For Ever," "Hounds Of Love" and "The Whole Story" -- have reached No. 1 in the U.K.

Drugz on the tube...

Two for Thursday...

One of my co-workers just told me about a reality-tv-type show that's been running on Showtime called WEEDS that she's been watching lately and seems to be quite amused by it. I'm not going to start paying for a premium channel just to watch that one show so I'll just take her word for it, but it does amuse me to see humorous herb-related situations being presented over the airwaves in some fashion (something's got to balance out those idiotic public service announcements-- you know the one where the kid absentmindedly forgets to pick up his younger brother because he was too busy toking on the bong--- spare me!)

Here's more info about WEEDS

Nancy Botwin struggles with the sudden death of her husband and agonizes over how she'll support and raise two young boys on her own. Without any discernable career skills, the widow Botwin finds good paying work as the local pot dealer in the pristine, new LA suburb known as Agrestic. There's definitely a double meaning when this girl puts on her Mary Janes.

here's what's coming up on the next episode:

Nancy's life takes a strange twist when she turns down the advances of an interested single father, Peter but engages in a brief sexual encounter with a threatening, competing pot dealer. With Nancy out of the house, Andy and Doug get into her stash and make a mess in stoned pursuit of a rat in the wall.

ALSO...

BNN (Dutch TV, public broadcasting network) in early October there will be a feature on a show called "Try Before You Die" where someone will take heroin (pill form) and use LSD live on the air. (source)

I'm still waiting for the show where people from all around the world come together to discuss the possibilities of using mind-expanding chemicals in a more positive light instead of focusing on how illegal the substances are, or exploiting the results of improper use by youth culture (who are mainly without guidance or proper resources for education on these subjects). I feel fortunate that during my times of early experimentation in my younger days, I was surrounded by many seasoned travellers who gave me warm and loving guidance and an open forum to discuss my fears and experiences.

The world, to me, seems to be a much stranger, harsher place today for anyone who still wishes to pursue the psychedelic realms via the means of chemicals or organic plant substances, but then I suppose it's all in what you make of it. I will say one thing though--- screw this WAR ON DRUGS shite and all of the bass-turds helping to promote it. Life must really suck for them and it's really too bad they don't know how to switch it ON and feel good for a change, but instead must use their lifetimes to make others miserable. Love is the drug. Seriously...

So. What happens if it rains?

I don't know about you, but the last thing I'd want to do is go hike up onto something like this giant thing that's made out of pink wool, after it's been left out in weather and nature (bugs and stuff) for the next 20 years -- something not too comfy about that idea, even if it is on a gorgeous mountainside in Italy. Not to mention the free granny slave-laborers who built it. eeeeeeee. It looks like a deformed pink marshmallow peep.

(source: Ananova) An enormous pink bunny has been erected on an Italian mountainside where it will stay for the next 20 years.

The 200-foot-long toy rabbit lies on the side of the 5,000 foot high Colletto Fava mountain in northern Italy's Piedmont region.

Viennese art group Gelatin designed the giant soft toy and say it was "knitted by dozens of grannies out of pink wool".

Group member Wolfgang Gantner said: "It's supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver. You walk around it and you can't help but smile."

And Gelatin members say the bunny is not just for walking around - they are expecting hikers to climb its 20 foot sides and relax on its belly.

The giant rabbit is expected to remain on the mountain side until 2025.

Projecting light in all directions...

OK. Life's been a bit of a blur for this pixie.

Sorry for my lapse in spewing forth any goodies here at Olla or elsewhere lately. My only excuse is that I haven't had much time online because my hands have been otherwise occupied (get your minds out of the gutter!) What I mean to say is that I've been using my hands to shred, sew, mend, and bind vast amounts of fabric into four unique (and bizarro) costumes for our upcoming Noisefest performance on October 1st, and I have the bloody remains of what used to be fingertips as proof of this madness, believe me, but I'm not going to post digital photos of that and waste precious bandwidth. Just take my word that as I type this I am going "Ouchie, ouch, ouch, ouch!" We're doing a photo session next Sunday so I will most definitely have to post the results here afterward because words fail me when I try to describe how bizarro these things are.

Anyone who's interested in updates:

Last weekend, BCO participated in an ongoing event here in Oakland CA called THE ILLUMINATED CORRIDOR where several artists took over an entire parking lot at night, opened it to the public for free and projected things onto the walls and made a lotta noise for several hours. It was a lot of fun (except for the part toward the end of the night where someone stole my $40 Pashmina cashmere shawl! Ah well, not irreplaceable, but still frakkin' pissed me off.)

I snapped some pics with my digital but still haven't quite got the hang of using no flash in low (or no) light so most of them are pretty dark -- but then it WAS pretty dark out there in that un-lit parking lot and most of the projections were fairly moody and dark themselves, but you'll get the picture if you glance through them.

Here's a nice one of the BCO set:

We set up a video camera on the spinny thing and that is what got projected onto the wall). The spiral also acted as an instrument which involved the two musicians on either end striking various objects which were contact mic'd on the edges of the spiral) while two strobe lights flashed on the entire thing. Digital cameras, so I discovered, get a little wonked out by strobe lights and it was a bit tricky getting a shot but I did manage a few interesting ones.

MORE PHOTOS HERE

The first ILLUMINATED CORRIDOR show back in July was similar but involved a few live performances that went on indoors as well. BCO did a 30 minute set featuring four women inside of a tent playing harmoniums and doing abstract vocal chants from within while our storyteller Jesse created a unique little shadowplay on the frontside of the tent with a projector and several handmade papercuts and assorted other materials, such as lace and leaves. I will have pics from that event soon but haven't gotten a chance to go through them, but there are some stunning ones.

In other news regarding projected light and outdoor environments-- ran across this great thing over at DRT today and it made my day to read about it:

Guerrilla Theater, American Style

Some folks set up a digital projector outfitted with an FM transmitter and put it inside a car. Every couple of weeks they send out an e-mail to a listserv full of fans with details on the movie that will be showing, the wall it will be projected on, the time and whatnot. You show up, tune to the designated FM station and enjoy a flick, or steam up the windows. The Mobile Movie movement started in Santa Cruz, and is now playing in Berkeley, Oakland, Minneapolis, Dallas, Los Angeles, West Chester, PA., and Tampa City, FL.

Now I'm hoping since I live in Oakland that I'll actually get to witness one of these happenings in-person. Love the concept of spontaneous art no matter what the format. Bring it on, homeys.

Traditional Music Of Amygdala

Recorded on the Rite of Doomsday in the oecumenical cathedral of Amygdala, 1998. (LINK)

The "Gâyan Uttejak Society" offers you an imaginary journey throughout the entire Amygdala empire in the spirit of the ethno-musicology expeditions at the turn of the century.

"Traditional Music Of Amygdala" is a musicological-sociological fiction with a great past in a human culture concerning ceremony of alienation and death, wrapped in rituals and mysteries. Amygdala (sorpus Amygdaloideum) is to be found in our brain; hidden there are human "behaviour", genetically inherited and the insinct system formed by culture and environment.

The world is being totally reorganized by the modern industrial societies with their overwhelming superiority in technology and dynamic expansion, and all the traditional cultures which are alien to their technologically "homogeneous" societies are doomed to extinction. Therefore a real possibility exists that the traditional cultures will out before they can get into "world-culture" circulation.

Bearing all of this in mind the "Gâyan Uttejak Society" was set up in 1981 in Budapest, Hungary by Lâszlô Hortobâgyi, since then it has been acting - among other things - as a music studio and includes a remarkable library of oriental music, the only one in Eastern Europe. It was named after the hindu-moslem musician's society (1884-1917) founded by V. N. Bhâtkhânde.

The members of the Gâyan Uttejak Society in Budapest have made it their duty to practice and to study classical indian music.

Metaversal Waterweek Forecast (Sept 11-16)

We interrupt this broadcast to bring you another special Metaversal report ("Ambergris edition") from our friend in the field (and orbiting the stars) Johannes Ayres...

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM
THE METAVERSAL WATERWEEK FORECAST Ambergris edition

Briah, The World of Water
Second Quarter Moon
-WATERWEEK-
September 11th to September 16th

Bring me my crows of burning gold,
bring me sparrows of desire.....

Greetings Fellow Lightpilots...

So what can we expect from this second week of the 6th Lunar Cycle of 2005? The Moon's second quarter is where we utilize the power of Metaversal Mind, Water, the kabbalistic world of Briah, the Pattern, through the medium of our Emotional and Mental bodies. Since Briah is the realm of Gods and Faeries, Angels and Goddess's, Images and Symbols, Visions and Voices, we can expect nothing less than knowledge and conversation with the patterns of our deep Selves, what Carl Jung calls "aspects of The Self. The unified, self-organizing entity we are expressions of". To understand Briah, the World of Pattern, we have to talk about Daath (Hebrew for knowledge). Gnosis, from Greek, also means knowledge, Gnosticism, Sufism, Kabballah are based in Daath. Daath is the Divine Father and MotheR eternally united in the activity of the sexual force, always in Yesod. The Holy IaooaI understand that within the Lightcraft are the Father and the Son, joy riding essentially, because they have the key. Who gave them the key? I did. So, fuck me like fried potatoes on the most beautifully hungry morning of my God-damn life. Do not expect curb service with the mind that we have now, because it is a mechanical mind of nature. The dark things from sunken regions that are floating to the water's surface, the corpses bobbing in the polluted waters of Lake New Orleans, are not the only things coming to the surface in this appalling tragedy. The bloated corruptions of America's fascist administration are also coming into view and stinking in the hot sun of the devastated landscape. It's not exactly ambergris, but it's close.

This Divine Mother Terminal has three divine aspects: Wisdom, Love and Power; in Briah, not in Atziluth, this is the Lightcraft in the World of Briah: Abba (Binah), Beatles (Binah) and Throbbing Gristle (the Child). Within the Child is (Chesed/Cozi fan tutti, Geburah/Frida and Tiphereth/Ringo). You can teach an old whale new tricks - or he'll teach himself. So remember, one day, you will go where whales go and you will know what the whales know. After you have learned all their secrets and think the way they do and your love caresses their heart like the walls of a noonday clock. So the Lightcraft of the World of Briah is: Osiris, Isis and Horus. This Trimurti (Osiris, Isis and Horus) manifests in all the Monads of the Metacreators, Elohim, Archangels. Charming.

Ambergris (grey amber) comes from an intestinal excretion of sperm whales that washes onto beaches and ends up being used in perfumes and other such things. A killer whale at Marineland, Ontario, devised an ingenious quasi-ambergris system for supplementing his lunch. This clever beast urps up some of his fish dinner and lets it float to the surface of his pool as he drifts to the bottom and patiently waits. When a seagull lands on the water and samples what the whale repeated, the whale lunges upward and completes his feast by adding fowl to fish - a quite ingenious combo platter. It seems that his behavior spread among five other whales at Marineland, who also adopted the same stealth hunting modes. This story popped up on line as Mars moved into direct alignment with the new quasi-planet, not really of our solar system, but it does orbit the Sun, Sedna (No, not the yet to be named planet UB313). It's amazing on a multitude of levels. On the most trivial level, the arctic shamans contend that Sedna doesn't appreciate people mixing a meal of sea creatures and land animals - whether birds and seafood fall into the category of transgression remains undetermined.

Ironically it was the bird people, though, that contributed to Sedna's demise (which turned her into a shamanic deity). In the short cut story, they sought revenge for the killing of their bird leader - Sedna's poorly selected spouse. As the birds sought their revenge, Sedna's father, once on a mission to save her, plunked her into the cold sea to save himself and chopped off of her fingers as she sought to cling to his kayak. Ultimately, her misfortunes and hardships granted her dominion of the deep seas. In fact, it was her finger bits that transformed into seals, walruses and whales. Literally, one could easily fantasize about the stories of lost grips between those struggling to survive Hurricane Katrina. Whether slipping away into raging waters or a more symbolic rendition, the questions become more fundamental: how long can people hold on? How long can people hold to a floating piece of debris, cling to life on a rooftop, contend with crowded substandard conditions in a poorly chosen shelter - assigned or otherwise? Where does the energy - as shown by Mars - originate and create the fight for life? How long does adrenalin, the power of fear and the will to survive persistarly for those in India, Asia's flood torn lands, or the Gulf Coast of the United States, the imagery dramatically makes itself known. What about for the rest of humanity? There's lots of places. Given the conjunction appears in Taurus, how long can the average person hold onto to a job forty-seven miles from home and still make money given rising gas prices? How long can people hold to a set of values if the results of life do not agree with the promise of those values? How long can anyone maintain their grip in any thing and still be fine?

Sedna's North Node appears in Leo while it's closest solar contact shows itself in Cancer. Issues of sustenance and need arise for resolution. What does it take to feed a person - from basic food requirements to those things that foster a healthy spirit? It would seem each person following the state of the world, especially now, must ask that question of and for herself/himself (and itself from those of you from the Pleiades, Andromeda, Cassiopeia and Cetus). It's been noted that the will to live for all persons increases - at least in the US - following traumatic events as noted by a general reduction in suicide rates. Is this one of those times? It is one of those times. Mars to Sedna insists upon feeding the soul. Mars propitiates to the lovely Sedna by rendering raw energy that seeks refined application into the deeper mysteries as symbolized by the cold, dark oceanic depths where the arctic shamans find knowing. When a mystery appears, feed it with vitality. Invest essence. Offer the willingness to surface the issues from the depths into the sunlight infused waters closer to the surface. Add to this the lingering opposition of Jupiter to 2003 UB313, the new planet (No! It will not be named Lila, Lilith, Leyla, Leprechaun or Xena if the IAU has its way).

Given the North Node in Taurus and the perihelion in Libra, both signs reaching out to Venus, more questions surface regarding what a person venerates in life - love or money. A reexamination of values unfolds right now and it would unfold no matter what the state of the world. It just so happens with two highly energetic planets, Mars and Jupiter, each making contact with recent discoveries beyond what we previously perceived to be the outer edge, each of us receives cosmic prompting (actually, it's more like insistence) to stretch beyond all known limits, conditions, parameters and knowledge. Being one who believes that going to the depths of the sea can offer insights into the vastness of our solar system. I consulted a whale at Sea World and watched the movie Whale Rider again (rent it if you haven't seen it). The indications are very clear. You can teach an old whale new tricks - or he'll teach himself. And seagull tastes like chicken. Finally, seagulls report predigested fish smells like perfume, or so I heard in the sounds of the birds still echoing 'round my mind. Back during election time in the US, I wrote with a political slant, much to the chagrin of some. At that time I mentioned that I'd write some more politically slanted blogs with astrology as a basis. That time is now.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
The Day of the Sun in the Week of Water. Between dark and light the angles of times are best manifest at their balance, so invoke Apollo, Ra, Elvis, or the baby-faced Sun god from the Teletubbies into your heart Chakra this morning. Our Qabalistic thunderbolt of revelation resembles a corkscrew in more ways than an ongoing series of major solar flares, including one late Friday, which could disrupt communications on Earth and generate colorful sky shows for people at high northern latitudes over the more serious effects. The spate of activity from the Sun is being generated by a large sunspot named 798. Sunspots are cooler and darker regions of pent-up magnetic activity. When they unleash their energy, it's a bit like the top coming off a shaken bottle of soda. Solar flares send radiation to Earth in about 8 minutes. Hours later, clouds of charged particles can engulf the planet. If the magnetic field of a storm is oriented opposite to our planet's protective magnetic field, gaps are created and radiation leaks to the planet's surface, potentially threatening astronauts aboard the International Space Station, sometimes shorting out satellites, and even causing the slipping of my tongue around your earlobe, in sweet soft little circles in between slow hot breaths... increasing in rate as I press against your body...

With the Moon void of course all day you may feel like drifting. This morning Venus moves into Scorpio, and calls us to pay attention to the deepest parts of who we are. The Scorpio process demands that we dive into the center of this intensity and embrace it as a vital part of our humanness. Venus in Scorpio is a call to access the ultimate spectacle of sheer bliss based delirium. You'll be shocked by what you discover about yourself. I'm shocked - and, frankly, a little disgusted - just thinking about it. But it's all in good fun. And then, following the instincts which
are completely animal, that person fornicates, which is a completely normal act for the animals of nature. If I was your dog, my shaggy muzzle would nuzzle your crotch and growl at the same time. There are two reasons for this. One is a secret and the other is LOVE. Some bees will appear in the room shortly after our work is completed while we relax with a hash joint-we can't work out whats attracting them into the room. But what will be really strange is that one will suddenly sting you on the bum. How and why it got in your pants is a complete mystery! You take it as a sign to do the HML initiation ritual and we perform it this evening. There is a 75 percent chance of more X-class flares through Monday, the SEC says. The sunspot is just rotating into view, so its energy has been directed sideways and not directly at Earth. In coming days, if more major flares erupt, they'll head right at us and radio blackouts, cell phone dropouts and other communications disruptions are more likely, scientists said.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
With the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Capricorn (not to mention Mars in Taurus) it is a day spent in the realms of Earth. Opportunities are stimulated when one works hard, assumes responsibilities, and tunes into Nature and it's mystical rhythms. Capricorn represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 7 weeks until 12 weeks after Conception, when the embryo becomes a fetus, and the sex and physical appearance are determined. The body takes form through it's skeletal system. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Capricorn represents the integration and structuring of the higher perceptions of the Self in the World on a practical level. On the World scale, Capricorn occupies the period between AD 1750 and AD 1840. This was the time when the ideology of Sagittarius was translated into material form. Humanity evinced a superiority over the forces of nature, and the Industrial revolution began. Romanticism surrounded the likes of Shelly, Goethe, Byron, and Chopin, reacting to the cold prevailing mechanistic World view. Rudolph Steiner said that the human being is created, and destined to be, a self-defining creature. Are we slightly higher than monkeys or slightly lower than angels? Good old fashion hard work yields the answer. Monkeys and Angels are set to grind corn with the Sun in Capricorn. Tackle those long term projects and remember, the Mountain must be tackled one step at a time. Animals will love this day. They are thrilled about it. They'll romp and squeal and butt their horns and roll on their bellies like there's no tomorrow. But mostly they'll just amble along in quiet amazement at their own pure satisfaction.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

"That's why they burn your bridges, so ruffles won't have ridges,
and pigeons won't have privileges like doves do."

The Day of Mars in Briah, the World of Water. In it's earthly manifestation. Martian power appears as willpower, impulsiveness, courage, and daring, and as sexual energy with which to possess and fertilize the Eternal Feminine. The language or system used is completely unimportant as long as it reflects and supports your interaction with your Creation. Karma Yoga, the "Yoga of Action", is associated with your Lightcraft's power center, the Third Chakra. The Fire in the Belly. "Karma" means action, a special kind of mindful action that stems from non-attachment, selfless service without thoughts of personal gain or recognition. Whether you are scrubbing toilets or performing brain surgery, both actions are equal when performed with the attitude of compassion, love, and devotion to the Metaverse and it's inhabitants.

The Moon in Aquarius today is doing it's own thing Aquarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 12 weeks to 28 weeks after Conception, when the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Aquarius represents the higher Self projecting itself to the world tribe, through media, groups, circles of friends (your Tribe) and utopian aims and idealistic pursuits alter the prevailing social systems. On the World scale, Aquarius occupies the period between AD 1840 and 1910. This was the time when the established dominance of the material world in Capricorn quickly required more sophisticated planning, spurred by Schopenhauer, ideas and beliefs from the east began flooding the West through such diverse channels as the Theosophical Society, the Golden Dawn, and the operas of Wagner. This was the time of Crowley, Nietzsce, and the early works of Freud. With the Moon in Aquarius we have the ability to combine East and West, Light and Dark, Sun and Moon. This is where we are compelled to reach out to others and network.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
The Day of Mercury in the kabbalistic World of Water, Briah. Visualize your self wearing sneakers with wings as you read this. Mercury's function is to think. To know. To reason. There is no foot race to win here. Language is his playground. The Akasic Library is his home. And oh yes, Hermes is a Love god. He likes the sound of his own voice. Write a poem, a sonnet, or some erotica today and them transmit that information to at least one other person. Moon is still in Aquarius. No sign is more concerned with rebellion, reform, and revolution than Aquarius. Will we plan for the future, or continue to run from the past? Will we be proactive or reactive? Use this time of increased light to envision and step into your future, giving yourself and others plenty of elbow room and being tolerant towards the full spectrum of humanity's eccentricity... We reconnect here to generate terrific monuments made of coloured sound and we storm the edifices of a dream more incredible than the blooming of a thousand hearts amplified through vacufazers at full speed.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
The planets take a day off. So should you too.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
The Day of Venus in the Week of Water. If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. The 5 roses represent the five senses in the Empress card (Atu 3) And in the Lovers card (Atu 6 ) the senses are the five fruits of Eve. Venus is indeed in cahoots with the senses. All movement of all living creatures in world of Assiah are tied to the senses and the desire-nature. The accomplished Lightpilot can remove the robe of desire in order to withdraw into the worlds of Briah and Atzitluth, but in order to achieve anything in the physical realms you keep that robe on. When you act, your gonna act in terms of desire. Venus represents that which is desirable. Every living thing seeks pleasure and tries to avoid pain. Victory lies in understanding our desire nature and learning how to use it.

Venus in Scorpio is a call to access some sort of archaic language, and something like the sharp razor tones of German words that make no sense whatsoever, but God! They do something to you... Sensing my skin emanate that unbelievably hot boy-pheromone... feeling all that ultraconfident power and smugsatisfaction in me up against you... In the animals, when they are fornicating, the sexual glands depend on the commands of the pituitary and pineal glands within the brain. This is completely instinctive, acting under the control of the mechanic. When anyone performs the sexual act, it is obvious that it is his mind acting through the brain controlling the sex.

The Moon moves into Pisces in the early morning hours and conjuncts Uranus later today revolutionizing our experience of true radical compassion. Compassion is deep awareness of the suffering of another (including our own suffering and compassion for self) without the need to relieve it, feeling total appreciation for its value; a state of non-judgment a state of total acceptance. This type of compassion requires a radical willingness to be with what IS while releasing the need to rescue, fix, change, or control outcome. This ultimately means learning to accept the unacceptable, forgive the "unforgivable", and love the "unlovable" by releasing our emotional and mental attachments to how we believe events in life "should or should not" be or how we as humans "should or should not be". Accepting what IS for now delineates the key component of Radical Compassion. When we feel a need to rescue or fix a person or situation this is not coming from true compassion but rather an addictive need to have things be different than what they are. We can still prefer what we prefer while accepting what is for now. Acceptance helps us to give up the need for it to be different than what it IS and that often facilitates the change all by it self, especially when we are not attached to what the change looks like.

Get the responsibilities taken care of early so the rest of the day and night can be devoted to our Lady Aphrodite. Circular breathing or (k)not, the Eternal Feminine will lure to perfection, and your Lightcraft will be everywhere at once, in several countries, several states, distributed across multiple time zones, through the solar system, conducting interdisciplinary excavations of Bush's cosmetically concealed train wreck, spectacularly vomiting on to the floor of a hyper-abyssic temple at the peak of an outstanding sonic attack. ? Goddamn, I Love You!

UB Radio #4 (ELECTRIC FLEA CIRCUS) mp3 & pics

Everything's so small you can barely hear it at all...
(until you add a bunch of electronics and contact-mics to the mix-- such noisey little fleas!!)

Here's the full three-hour mp3 audio archive (82MB, 64kbps/22kHz stereo) in case you didn't get a chance to hear the live broadcast.

More photos here.

Need to laugh...

Ok, momentarily breaking the silence here because laughter is imperative. Reading through my favorite stops today while I'm busy here at work, and although most everyone is still posting hurricane info and stories (for obvious reasons), there were a few chuckles here and there that were much needed so I'm going to re-post one of them here for a quick laff.

From The Sneeze which somehow has fallen off my radar, of late, but it's always worth checking because of its valuable humourous content (via monochrom):

A little something called Steve, don't eat it! where someone named Steve gives the play-by-play on several bizarro eating experiments (with photos). Warning-- make sure you don't read this before, during or possibly directly after eating. This bit particularly cracked me up (yes, pun intended!):

"While I cannot endorse the eating of Pickled Pork Rinds, I do endorse playing with it like a puzzle. I did have some fun trying to put the pig back together, but eventually that got boring as I lost the will to live."

Poor piggie!

Moment of silence...

Taking time-out from posts here for a bit, in honor of the victims of Katrina and sending loving, healing lightbeams to those still in need...

Metaversal New Moon Report (Sept 3-9)

We interrupt this broadcast to bring you another special Metaversal report from our friend in the field (and orbiting the stars) Johannes Ayres...

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM

FIRST QUARTER MOON
-FIREWEEK-
September 3rd to September 9th

Fireweek is the time to remember we're in the pilots seat of our own personal Lightcraft and make some course corrections if we've veered off course. What would you like to boost in your life? And what would you like to reduce or eliminate? New Moon in Virgo brings attention to focusing, fixing, and simply dealing with the details of daily living, further energizing the Metaversal matrix now emerging at this turning of the great wheel of time. Virgo represents the initiatory quest for wholeness, integration, and sacred service symbolized by the archetype of the Virgin. The word "virgin" originally denoted a woman who was not necessarily chaste but unmarried, independent, and complete unto herself. In ancient times, Vestal Virgins initiated men into the sexual mysteries and served as healers for men returning from war. As an earth sign, Virgo recognizes the body as a temple of the soul and seeks to sanctify each thought, word, and deed.

Use the energy of this New Moon to become empty and open. Listen deeply. Welcome the fertile dark mystery of the Moon, for "in the empty spaces - lacunae, vacuums, pauses, voids, black holes ... new things begin ... (we are born anew) from the unexplored spaces, the badlands, the outlaw territory. New Moons invite us to rediscover the fertile void, the place within us that has infinite intelligence and creativity to begin moving "matter" around with our thoughts, to know how awareness arose as simple recursion -"a spin path to the zero point" among the waves. This will give us a sense of how matter got named (what's the MATTER? ) We may then put number one priority on maximizing electrical spin density in our lightcrafts, so that we can increase our psychokinetic service activity to the "galactic core" or center in principle of all spin. Mind inhabiting pressure nests among waves is a trick which becomes livable, when we see that our own thoughts are the only infinitely distributable spin, and thus they become the key for memory and awareness to survive forever.

This New Moon is an excellent time to assess how well we are taking care of ourselves on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. As the evolutionary pace quickens, it's more important than ever to take good care of our multidimensional vehicle. Listen to your body; all aches and pains are sources of information - indicators that something is demanding our attention. When was the last time you had a heart-to-heart talk with your body? Thanked it for its 24/7 service? Remembering the miraculous service of the body brings us to another important item on the Virgo agenda: the development of humility. True humility is not self-effacement or self-deprecation, but rather the absence of ego, a state of adaptability and openness. Planets traveling through Virgo show us that there is always more to learn - that perfection is an ongoing process, not a static state. Every human is born with a third-dimensional body and a fourth-dimensional Lightcraft. The physical body is the biological conductor. The Lightctraft is the time transport unit. The body and its Lightcraft are inseparable. The biological conductor sustains the sensory nervous system, the human instrument for processing the full range of experience. The experience of the body is synchronized within the Metaversal Lightcraft. The Lightcraft is the physical body's coded experience in time. The body in time with its Lightcraft is art.

Virgo ultimately perfects the art of being fully present, of being grateful for each moment, each opportunity to serve. Hey wait! This New Moon is packin'; Pluto turned direct the day before, signaling the end of a major UnderWorld renovation phase that began last spring when Pluto went retrograde on March 26. Since then, we've become more aware of what's been flying beneath our radar - below the level of consciousness - and sabotaging our ability to move forward. Pluto retrograde in Sagittarius has been scoping out misinformation, shooting down old beliefs, and holding our hearts to the fires of truth We know that 9/11, regardless of the degree of complicity you believe the Bush Administration was guilty of, was seized on by Bush&Co. as the event that would be used to justify all that would follow domestically and in foreign/military affairs. We know that Bush's war has been a thorough disaster -- built on a foundation of lies, and incompetently managed from the start. As a result, the Occupation has provided a magnet for jihadists from other countries, billions have been wasted or lost in the corrupt system of organized corporate looting that ostensibly is designed to speed up Iraq's "reconstruction," etc. etc. Diffuse portability. Air bludgeon. Gown rampart. Molten negligence.

We know that Bush environmental policy -- dealing with air and water pollution, mineral extraction, national parks, and so on -- is an unmitigated disaster, giving pretty much free rein to corporations whose bottom line does better when they don't have to pay attention to the public interest. It's the worst sort of Vernacular slope. A flossy chisel- grab-the-money-and-run scenario. What an implosion alchemically in the glands- maximum insensitivity / no perception of the true science of euphoria and bliss. When did the golden light of the sun abandon its position in the eastern horizon and begin rising, each morning, from out of your silly, neo-Iron Age Ass. Mr Bush? Molten negligence. All that remains is a dead man with an accordion. Whenever the subway train rumbles past beneath God's apartment, it shifts him just enough that he plays a single note of Quarantino's Rigor Mortis in D Flat. There's a note stuck to the fridge door. Its crayon letters have melted to a coppery olive green string of spectreglyphs: PREPARE THE MEAT OF THY DOG.

By our silent complicity and cowardly reluctance to oppose and stop this homicidal behavior in the name of profit, we are all accessories to mass murder and the destruction of human society, not to even mention the extinction of individual human freedom and the God-given right to be safe and secure in the homes of our choice. So now that you know, what are you going to do about it? You know if you do nothing, these same things will one day happen to you. In an environment where the true physics of charge implosion, and life essence is discouraged - the new dynamics of U.S. ports preparing for catastrophic terrorism in a major new program of security drills that began two weeks ago in the San Francisco Bay area and continues next week in Baltimore, like the terror drills taking place in New York on 9-11, or the one taking place on the London subway on 7/7, or the terror drill that took place in Oklahoma City April 19th, 1995? THAT kind of terror drill. Lack of respect for life in our young 'uns arises directly from not understanding the true electrical alchemic principles of time compression at the end of solar ages- alchemizes the heart - is because the charge densities which accompany the solar maxima (2000- 2012 - climax of the Mayan / Solar calendar) formerly called RAPTURE by Christians - permit only those biological structures ABLE to non-destructively (and ALCHEMICALLY) compress / implode - to survive. In a sense - being squeezed - teaches us the biological hygiene techniques for immortality of infinite compression / acceleration thru the Heart of the Sun.. (When the phase fronts of biological magnetics - particularly the ultraviolet component of DNA emissions - blue fire - interface successfully with the superluminal - faster than light speed - the resultant electrical sustainability is the physics of immortality / ensoulment).

The Sabian symbol for the 12th degree of Virgo asks us to use our head and uncover our heart: "After the wedding, the groom snatches the veil away from his bride; the penetrating and unveiling power of the trained mind." Set aside some time around this New Moon to take a complete inventory of your Lightcraft.

SATURNSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3
The first day of a new Lunar cycle always gets my donkeys up on stage! Bush said: "God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. Funny how God didn't tap you on the shoulder and say, "You know, you better not cut those funds for flood and hurricane protection projects in New Orleans, because I'm gonna wallop that place a good one!". Nothing develops short of this widening diaphanous summer squall. Choral reefs ring the tomb, and abominate the residual typhoon. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is close to Venus; their rendezvous in Libra opens our eyes to new possibilities in partnership. Yummy love libations murmuring enveined through your biovenetian floodways. We're ready for more beauty, balance, and harmony; more equality, justice, and peace. Venus and Jupiter sextile Pluto offer the opportunity to release old grievances and unhealthy ways of relating. Generosity and sympathy flow more easily, making it a good time for negotiation and reconciliation. Also, we're still in the wake of the Sun in Virgo opposing Uranus in Pisces (exact on August 31), which continues to jolt us out of old ruts and onto new tracks. The doctrine is prepared and written in luminous tiles across your retinas. May it shine forth upon all who meet your gaze.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
The Day of the Sun in Fireweek. The six of Wands (Sun in Atziluth) is all about being acknowledged, getting a pat on the back, achieving recognition. You can triumph over yourself, the environment, or the odds. Your talents begin in the Divine, develop with the love and support of others, and only in the end express through us. When obtaining the summit of this holy mountain, keep in mind this fourth-dimensional "Metaverse" possesses a design and field of motion encoded with solar-galactic information. Few things symbolize victory and glory like obtaining the summit of this Holy Mountain. In order to do so one has to plan, organize, exercise patience, and overcome mental and physical hardships. In short - be willing to do the seemingly impossible and then accept the credit when your objective is completed.

In order to climb this Mountain and participate in the design of Lightcraft Earth, humans need only correct their calendar by synchronizing it to the Metaversal spin. This is what makes a Lightpilot. Released from their materialistic time warp, humans will be able to address their problems from the Metaversal perspective. Once they have understood and resolved their problems through application of the self-organizing principles of the galactic calendar, they will then be able to practice the Metaversal art of galactic time, standing atop the Holy Mountain. Take a small step made out of stars. Sleep until you wake up dreaming. This morning, after a harmonious sextile between Venus and Pluto, Mercury enters it's home sign of Virgo. Our minds now focus on doing practical work, and applying our learned skills to create benefits for ourselves and others. Your extraordinarily fine intellectual gifts are now in the service of the Metaverse. Use them well.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
The Libra Moon harmoniously keeps the balance all day. Libra represents the period from 23 to 42 years old, when partnerships are made and balance is sought between others and oneself. On the World scale Libra is between 400 and 1100 AD, when division of the church and state took over, and the Dark Ages swept over Europe and Asia. The opposition is symbolic of the fact that in order to emerge from the unconscious, internal conflicts must be brought out into the light of day. Marriage was the primary process through which opposing countries where integrated into a whole. With the Moon in Libra we are aware of our communal relations, law, justice and balance. The 7th house (Libra) has been called the house of marriage. The key to the New Aeon of MA'AT is figuring out the new symbol for Libra, as the institution of marriage was designed as a tool by the Church to secure it's future domination. Those that cannot find this new symbol and perform these symbolic rites on themselves and their tribe, and the whole fabric of material being, will inherit only the blues decay and husks. Think more in terms of partnership and remember, your heart must be light as a feather. Take time today to be good to your Libra ruled kidneys. These amazing organs filter some 400-500 hundred gallons of blood a day. Lemons, beets, cranberry juice and cabbage and leafy vegetables are all healing to your kidneys. A good day to socialize, harmonize, and celebrate.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
The day of Mars in Fireweek sees the red planet in Taurus. Mars represents your ability to take assertive action; your capacity for kickin' ass; your outward sexual expression; your use of energy, force and willpower to achieve your ambitions and desires. When Mars is in Taurus, we tend to focus on actions that are stable and well-planned, financially profitable, and conserving of physical energy and other resources. With Mars in Taurus, we definitely prefer to catch flies with honey, nab snark while it's sunny, and hey fuck that's not funny - and to do it as effortlessly as possible." The interval of Mars in Taurus represents a transit across a particular house in your Natal Chart -- an area of life where action, often action involving money, is taking place. What house corresponds with Taurus in your chart?

"Just the day for a Verv!" Johannes cried,
As he landed his crew here with care;
Supporting them each on the astral tide
By a finger entwined in his hair.
"Just the day for a Verv! I have said it twice:
That alone should encourage the crew.
Just the day for a Verv! I have said it thrice:
What i tell you three times is true."

Uncover the inner snark at the core of your Lightcraft and follow its instructions implicitly. The language or system used is completely unimportant as long as it reflects and supports balance within your body. Stiff competition, fair or otherwise, may pop up today and there is no telling whom the clear winner might be. Until you remember you've got a living, intelligent, loving Metaverse on your side. The Moon moves gracefully through Libra today, making only easy aspects to Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto.

Tonight, erect and sublime,
for one moment of time,
in the next, that wild figure you'll see
(As if stung by a spasm) plunge into a chasm,
while you wait and you listened to me.
In the midst of the word I am trying to say,
in the midst of my laughter and glee,
I have softly and suddenly vanished away---
For the Verv *is* a Boojum, you see.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

In truth certainly and without doubt,
Whatever is below is like that which is above,
and whatever is above is like that which is below,
to accomplish the miracles of one thing
The Emerald Tablet of Hermes

The Day of Mercury in the Week of Fire finds the fleet footed one in his home sign of Virgo. Here he is cautious, modest, humble, unassuming in the way he expresses himself. Problematic Mercury in Virgo Qualities: Hair-splitting, too much of a perfectionist, getting lost in the "fine print" and the details. Where Mercury is present, there are no boundaries to ideas. You can take mine into your head as if they were your own. Mercury reminds us that there is a certain dissolving of ownership, a "communion", in all communication and learning. Of the mind, what can we say is genuinely ours and ours alone? Ultimately, all language is a kind of mimetic thievery: the acquisition of most knowledge requires liberal stealing from the wisdom and experience of others. At 11:10 a.m. the Moon moves into Scorpio.

For the next two and a half days, secret desires, hidden fears and subconscious drives surface more easily. Scorpio represents the period from 42 years old to Death, when ones sense of Time compacts and passes rapidly. Since this stage is the last in the life of the human biological machine, it's now time to transcend the confines of the mortal body and to assure continued existence, either you breed (pass on your DNA) or step out of the loop (become your DNA). On the World scale, Scorpio is between AD 1100 and AD 1500, when the Dark Ages reached their peak. This is the Time of the Crusades and the Inquisition, when Pain, Bloodshed and Oppression swept over Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, after the uneasy alliances made during Libra. This is the sign of the Shadow. Successfully navigated, one can experience healthy, flowing spontaneous sexuality, an acceptance of Death and an integration of its reality into daily life, thus gaining a sense of the immortality of consciousness.

The Scorpio Moon squares Saturn tonight, building strange obstacles and arousing otherworldly passions, with the eye opening each thing like poetic treasure, perceiving at work within it, the divine imagination that animates the world.. If you go out with me tonight, I'll put you on a lemon-yellow plastic bridge over an endless mirror lightly flooded with Chartreuse. The stars will be out in full force and the mirrorstream will be kleiglit by lamps affixed to the underside of the bridge. You will be naked. I'll put you in the body of a lynx and I'll put you in the body of a raven. Maybe I'll even put you in the body of a wasp if you'll fit. God you are hot. I'll put you in a lighthouse made of black rubber and steel. Its walls will be adorned with mandalas of contraluz opals and petrified wood. It will be evenly lit by an indiscernible source I haven't figured out yet. You will hear the foghorns of ghostships.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Fire and Force, Atziluth. Projecting Light Specific Blue and facing West, vibrate this azure deluxe into your Second Chakra along with the mantrum: EE-BE-DA. Jupiter is all about allowing ambiguity, contradiction, and movement. It isn't about integration. It helps the ego become more flexible. By Jove, life isn't about staying calm and balanced, but rather about keeping complexity and drama and everything else alive and in dynamic flow. With the Moon in Scorpio today we are in the darker realms, feeling horny and sharp as the proverbial stiletto, bent at tearing away every comforting lie, every soothing half-truth. You are only as healthy as the Secrets that you keep. Avoid the dirt nap yourself by frequent "little deaths."

This evening Mercury opposes Uranus and visionary ideas regarding your future may appear from out of the deep blue and inspire as well as help in routing that future backwards to where you are now. The fun part is knowing that this nice little braid cascade of planetary wave donuts gets its pressure nested to fold all inside out through one slip knot to... elsewhere... and don't hesitate, meditate, because not only is stable gravity the wind of magnetism permitted by fractal symmetry to go BETWEEN frequencies in a cascade, but magnetism is also actually the WIND ON WHICH LOVE TRAVELS.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
Our Lady Luna is in Sagittarius. Sagittarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between Conception and 7 weeks, the first Lunar month after the sperm reaches the egg, and is a compacted pattern at a molecular time scale of the entire life of the cellular body. The embryo develops in parallel with the earlier phases of evolution, retaining memory of these structures in the brain. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Sagittarius represents Initiation beyond the realms of Death (Scorpio). On the World scale, Sag occupies the period between AD 1500 and AD 1750, The Renaissance. This was the time when astrology, mathematics, musick and geometry were understood as divine techniques for communicating with the Soul of the World.

With the Moon in Sagittarius we are into philosophical speculation, adventure, and foreign influences, and actions that expand the awareness through gathering unfamiliar experiences. We can do hard things today, things which promote our desires and build strange bridges and arouse otherworldly passions, the eye opening each thing like poetic treasure, perceiving at work within it, the divine imagination that animates the world. Get the responsibilities taken care of early so the rest of the day and night can be devoted to our Lady Aphrodite. The Eternal Feminine will lure to perfection.

Anti-liberal handbook for kiddies

If Ann Coulter were to spawn (*gasp*! perish the thought, indeed!) she would probably include this little gem on the nursery room shelves...

Author Feels Her Children's Book is the Right Reading for Conservative Kids

September 1, 2005 (AgapePress) - Concerned conservative parent Catherine DeBrecht says she got tired of seeing children's books -- as well as TV and movies -- barraging youngsters with liberal ideology, so she decided to write a book that would reflect her values.

DeBrecht claims she saw that her own children were being bombarded from the Left by television, books and movies. But when she went looking for something presented from the conservative side, she had a difficult time finding material. That, she says, is why she wrote her book Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed! (Xulon Press).

The book tells the story of brothers Tommy and Lou, who decide to earn money for a swing set by opening a lemonade stand. But unfortunately, the author notes, the boys' dream gets stuck in "Liberaland" as press-hungry liberals keep "appearing from behind their lemon tree" to raise outrageous obstacles and institute one ridiculous law after another. Impeach the fake president NOW

from CounterPunch dated August 31, 2005:

As the New Orleans Times-Picayune has reported in a devastating series of articles over the last two years, city and state officials and the Corps of Enginners had repeatedly requested funding to strengthen the levees along Lake Pontchartrain that breeched in the wake of the flood. But the Bush administration rebuffed the requests repeatedly, reprograming the funding from levee enhancement to Homeland Security and the war on Iraq.

This year the Bush administration slashed funding for the New Orleans Corps of Engineers by $71.2 million, a stunning 44.2 percent reduction from its 2001 levels. A Corps report noted at the time that "major hurricane and flood protection projects will not be awarded to local engineering firms... Also, a study to determine ways to protect the region from a Category 5 hurricane has been shelved for now."

Work on the 17th Street levee, which breached on Monday night, came to a halt earlier this summer for the lack of $2 million. "It appears that the money has been moved in the president's budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and I suppose that's the price we pay," Walter Maestri, emergency management chief for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana told the Times-Picayune in June of last year. "Nobody locally is happy that the levees can't be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us."

These are damning revelation that should fuel calls from both parties for Bush's resignation or impeachment.
