State Of Peace

This lovely bit of new audio from another talented musician-friend Alicia Wade (who is also one of the artists on the upcoming Women Take Back The Noise compilation) arrived in my inbox today. I asked if I could share it here and she sent along the lyrics. It's sad and beautiful, like life...

State Of Peace (mp3, 2.44MB)

"i'm not an elective to your modern constancy
i'm all but existent to NO ONE but those who see
and even the edges burn with insincerity

oh state of peace
you always always leave me"

Is it really all in the details?

Call me old-fashioned, but if I had to live my life running around consulting my mobile for every blasted tiny little detail like the guy in this animation, I'd go completely ballistic.

The other thing that really annoys me is watching all the teenagers at my local cafe sitting around doing nothing but tick-tick-tick-- typing away and text-messaging all their friends. For hours and hours they do this. They do this while sitting there talking to each other. Text messaging each other while they're sitting right next to each other.

I'm just not living in the same world with the herd. Praise Bob.

Metaversal Earthweek Forecast (Oct 22-31)

Brought to you by Johannes Ayres...

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM
THE METAVERSAL WATERWEEK FORECAST

ASSIAH, THE WORLD OF EARTH
-EARTHWEEK-
October 22nd to October 31st

It's Earthweek, in where we experience Earth, in the kabbalistic World of Form, Assiah. Go forth into the World and observe what you have created. Miraculous satisfaction. The ancient Celtic festival that is now Halloween marked a time where the gates of the underworld opened and spirits mixed with humans in the corporeal world. It was a magical celebration of life and death. Just as the life giving Sun traveled to the nether lands on its wintry southern sojourn, so did the souls of those who had perished with it. Ahead were the days of the long nights and as increasing darkness engulfed his world, man dealt with the darkness of his soul. Jupiter joins the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio on Tuesday. This expansive planet in such an emotionally intense sign produces a mystical alchemy expressed by some unique and powerful individuals. Nudge Scorpio over the edge and watch the glass skull explode. You cannot help but love this spectacle, this supernovan cranial debacle, so guileless and indulgent. Such a stark lustre to inhabit, you degenerate stars. The body is the platform, the 3-D projection of billions of seperate processes going on at any given moment. Earth is the shared Illusion that these elements combine to create a real domain we affectionately refer to as the World. Personally,
I Love the World.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24
The Day of the Moon in Assiah, the World of Earth. The stones attributed to Luna are Moonstones, and her metal is Silver. Lunar scents are Jasmine and Sandalwood. The lunar orb being receptive and reflective, focuses the qualities of the signs and other planets to our Lightcraft. The Lunar center, and it's intimate connection with the Holographic Image Projection System, is not only the foundation for the astral plane, but is the fiery aspect of astral energy itself. According to occult science, the angels are the guardians of the seed atoms, or photons. The activities of the angels are directed to the maintenance of plant, animal. and human life on earth. To this end, their forces are focused by the wandering Moon through the twelve signs of the zodiac. Thus as the Moon measures the tides of the earth (physically and astrally), so also does she measure the soul's passage from the shores of the dream realm in eternity through the waters of the womb to the world of time, to the door of the tomb. Today is the Leo last quarter Moon (1 Leo 44) at 6:17 pm. PDT also emphasizing the beginning of the end of the current lunar cycle prior to the New Moon in Scorpio on Nov 1.

The last quarter is where we separate the wheat from the chaff, and let the chaff go. But with Sun and Moon in fixed signs (Leo and Scorpio), letting go is difficult. This Moon family began on July 29, 2003. Among the many major events then were the Senate passing a terrible energy bill, called by many The Dirty Air Bill, Athens attorneys charging Tony Blair with "crimes against humanity" at the Hague International Criminal Court, and a CAFTA meeting in New Orleans. A tantrum in a tantric tremendum breathes new life into a squalid marriage consecrated by the usual mundanities. And in the din of inequity, we practiced telepathic Sirian holography for the surly droves. Loving acceptance of ourselves supports self-forgiveness. When we are truly forgiving and loving ourselves then we can truly love and forgive others. The usual tendency is to take a cylindrical organic object, say, a weasel or a zucchini, and plunge it into the soft yielding folds. To be doing so is not unlike the doing of anything else entirely distinct from everything on earth.

The Sabian Symbol for 2 Leo is:
"AN EPIDEMIC OF MUMPS. The spreading power of individual crises through a collectivity. The infectious spread of individual experiences."

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25
That's why they burn your bridges, so ruffles won't have ridges, and pigeons won't have privileges like doves do."

The Day of Mars in Assiah, the World of Earth. The stones attributed to Mars are Rubies and Garnets and his metal is Iron. In it's earthly manifestation. Martian power appears as willpower, impulsiveness, courage, and daring, and as sexual energy with which to possess and fertilize the Eternal Feminine. Astrological tradition says that Mars the Warrior is not comfortable in bucolic Taurus. The reasoning is simply that this planet of "go" isn't at its best in the sign of "go slow, go very slow." Earthy Taurus is a fixed sign. It occupies the middle of the spring (in the Northern Hemisphere) and symbolizes the sweetness of burgeoning plant life. Taurus doesn't want to go anywhere. It's fine where it is. The challenge is that Mars doesn't like to stand still. It lives for action, not the couch potato life of Taurus. It may, therefore, be a bit more difficult to get new projects off the ground. This is a period in which a solid foundation and a plentiful supply of fuel are required to get your Lightcraft off the launch pad.

Tonight Jupiter enters Scorpio, the start of a one-year journey through this dynamic sign. Jupiter in Scorpio attracts both money and people in high places. Scorpio is a super creative sign, and interested in the bottom line. Jupiter there can be very successful, as long as he doesn't get carried away with greed and self-importance. Scorpio now becomes the most dominant sign. Jupiter allied with Sun is an unbeatable dynamic duo. Luck will increase for all Scorpio Sun Sign people during the coming year. But they will have to work for it. And do some releasing. The fixed sign grand cross begins in earnest now. Today it revolves around the Pallas/Mercury duo in Scorpio, a very smart and focused pair. Stubborn Taurus Mars, swimming against the current as it moves retrograde, opposes them. Crossing them are Leo Moon opposing a powerful stationary Neptune in Aquarius. Peak oil is no longer an abstract. The people are facing its truth and consequences at the gas pump. There is great creative energy in a fixed cross. But it must be focused (priorities), and we must be willing to surrender old ways. Otherwise it can degenerate into fear, conflict, dithering, and dead ends.

We enter a portal of tremendous opportunity to create a new and better society. Today marks the monthly conjunction of the Moon with Saturn 11 Leo at 12:13 pm PDT and is visible 5°" northwest of Saturn before dawn energizing what we are bringing into form through the Leo Mysteries over the next couple of years. Leo reminds us that we are all expressions of divinity and ultimately we can be nothing less though we often make choices that appear less than divine. The Hopi Elders remind us "We are the ones we have been waiting for." Jupiter enters Scorpio at 7:53 pm PDT. This is the first time in 12 years that expansive Jupiter has passed through this realm. For those with a strong Scorpio emphasis on their natal charts you will be on the leading edge of this transit experiencing new edges, new visions, new insights, new truths and experiences that are intended to increase your personal life force for the purpose of bringing spirit into matter for an orgasmic ecstatic experience. Karma Yoga, the "Yoga of Action", is associated with your Lightcraft's power center, the Third Chakra. The Fire in the Belly. "Karma" means action, a special kind of mindful action that stems from non-attachment, selfless service without thoughts of personal gain or recognition. Whether you are scrubbing toilets or performing brain surgery, both actions are equal when performed with the attitude of compassion, love, and devotion to the Metaverse and it's inhabitants.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26
The Day of Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, in Assiah, the World of Earth. The stones attributed to Mercury are Opals and his metal is of course, Quicksilver. Where Mercury is present, there are no boundaries to ideas. You can take mine into your head as if they were your own. Mercury reminds us that there is a certain dissolving of ownership, a "communion", in all communication and learning. Of the mind, what can we say is genuinely ours and ours alone? Ultimately, all language is a kind of mimetic thievery: the acquisition of most knowledge requires liberal stealing from the wisdom and experience of others. This planet of communication gets down to the depths whenever it's in Scorpio. The mind melds with emotions, descending into the body, into the past and into life's mysteries. This can be a very powerful period for talking about difficult issues regarding relationships, money and mortality. Psychological awareness is more acute now, as perceptions take us under the covers of the obvious, seeking hidden meaning and motivations.

The second level of the Scorpio pyramid is the level of the Snakes. There are fewer of them then there are Scorpions ( and even fewer Eagles) These snakes are exceptionally thin, and either extremely swift or completely motionless. One of my strangest Scorpio experiences was coming across a huge mating-ball of such serpents. One moment it would be writhing wildly; the next, utterly still, like an overgrowth of vines or roots. The snakes were eyed, but without mouths. Most were of a uniform blackness, no sign of scales. On some, I observed herringbone patterns along the back. Others are marked by parallel circular bands. One had a meandering line of a relatively light shade running from the base of its head to the tip of its tail. My presence, by the way, had no evident effect upon their activity. Neptune (14 Aquarius) Stations Direct at 4:27 pm PDT. A planetary station either direct or retrograde is an in-between-the-worlds space providing an opportunity for changes to be quickly and powerfully facilitated. This often feels confusing and unsettling because it is unknown territory especially when Neptune is involved. Neptune cannot pray while being looked at. It can duel fervently. It can sit for hours with a jigsaw puzzle, the pieces unmoved. It cannot understand more than a few words of English. It can "spraggle upon waggle", but not as well as a cat. It cannot be seen with one eye, unless observed through a splitter-lens. It can be exercised methodically. It can listen with apparent interest to children practicing scales. It cannot scale a wall or a fish. It is helpful to pay close attention to your feelings and if they are irritable, out-of-sorts, uncertain, etc. then put off acting on them for the next few days. Give yourself permission to be with these feelings, to move them in your body through sound and movement and let them teach you more about yourself. Neptune cannot be weaned prematurely or circumcised without sedation lest it become traumatized and even crestfallen. It can jump and frisk about, usually with ensuing funk and sulkiness. It can dream with sophistication. It can mimic car horns. It cannot live without wood. So this is a time for radical new ways of doing things beyond rational logic that are divinely inspired from within.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27
The Day of Jupter in Earthweek, Assiah, the World of Earth. The stones attributed to Jupiter are Lapis Lazuli and Turquoise and it's metal is Brass. Do you live in an area where your view of the horizons are blocked by buildings, trees, etc.? I want you to actively seek a lookout point today, from where you can see the vastness of the sky, be it the top of a parking garage, a mountain or hilltop, it doesn't really matter, as long as you expand your personal viewpoint from your normal everyday experience. See as much sky as you can. Jupiter/Zeus is the king of the Roman/Greek sky gods. The principle is about allowing the expansive qualities of ambiguity, contradiction, and movement which allow variety to spice your life. Scorpio is the most intense sign. It conjures up our deepest fears, as we deal with our psychological black hole of vulnerability. Only by facing these uncertainties do we gain mastery over ourselves. Scorpio, the archetypal sign of birth and death, works at the subterranean levels of survival. Fear of the dark is a childhood condition. Jupiter, the renowned guru, shows that whilst there is an innate wisdom in treating the unknown with respectful caution, only by shining a torch into our own abyss do we reveal our greater potential. Understanding that most of our fear is a belief system, and having Jupiter, the king of wisdom, expand our knowledge beyond the fear factor, is the difference between sailing off the end of the world and sending a rocket to Scorpio's modern ruler, Pluto. Knowledge conquers fear, just as light evaporates darkness. One who varied between both worlds was the renowned occultist Aleister Crowley. Showing a developed sense of Jupiterian humor, Crowley modestly claimed to be the Devil incarnate and wore the numbers 666 across his forehead. But true to the spiritual mentor that is Jupiter, he rose to prominence as a leading esoteric teacher.

Crowley was at one time head of the Golden Dawn, a gathering of occultists drawn from the European glitterati. Like Crowley, the "guru" quality of Jupiter, placed in hypnotic Scorpio, has the potential to produce the most magnetic cult leaders. Former used car salesman Werner Erhard proved a true Phoenix from the ashes, as he began an obsessional crusade across the world changing others, and becoming an instant millionaire in the process. His trademarked EST self change workshops eventually led to the blatantly Scorpionic business name of Transformational Technologies. Even more influential than Erhard was metaphysician Ron L. Hubbard. Hubbard's seminal work Dianetics became the "bible" of the new Church of Scientology. His reprogramming became a worldwide cult with many of the rich and famous hopping aboard. More recently, Deepak Chopra is another of the new age gurus assisted by a Jupiter in Scorpio placement. These people are about change, at a deep level, and they took what Jupiter in Scorpio offered personally. Jupiter in Scorpio over the next year will provide the same transformational energy on a Metaversal level that anyone can tap into. But keep in mind that Scorpio doesn't do things by half measure. This has to be an all or nothing approach. Commitment and absolution is what we're talking about. Moon enters Virgo 3:28 am PDT transmitting the mysteries from the archetypal realm of the natural seasonal cycles and rhythms of the Earth and Sky. Attuning ourselves to the patterning of the natural cycles assists us in living more easily in natural harmony with all life.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28
Venus, the planet of love and beauty, is off to adventure in experience-seeking Sagittarius. Lust for life and expansion of the boundaries of pleasure are supported now. Love is about expanding limits here. We may give up some of the comfortable patterns of the past and risk relationship safety for new levels of experience. Love needs to grow now; it will not stand still. Travel, learning and a taste for all that's foreign may be heightened. It's hard to stick to the old routine when the planet of pleasure hits the road. This desire for the new and exotic may reveal some weakness of judgment. Purchases are more likely made with joyful abandon rather than with an eye on long-term value. People, too, can be overrated, particularly if they offer the promise of adventure or enlighten. Venus conjunct Pluto 7:12 pm PDT (22 Sagittarius) combines the quest for truth and expansion of the self with the passionate intensity of the underworld where the shadow is brought to conscious awareness. Take a small step made out of stars. Sleep until you wake up dreaming.

SATURNSDAY, OCTOBER 29

Bring me my crow of burning gold
Bring me my sparrows of desire ...

The job of Saturn in Leo is building the courage to express our personalities. While the negative side of this potentially negative planet is to suppress the joyous impulses of this self-important sign, holding yourself back is not the point. The planet needs the power of the human heart, one person at a time, starting with you. Planning and building a framework for your creativity is a gift to all of us. Saturn provides the planning and training, Leo the talent and stage on which to present it. This passage through Leo is a chance to face the excesses and insufficiencies of ego, to temper them with training and direct personal power with creativity, generosity and love. It was August of 2003 when Mars made its last closest approach to the Earth. Mars came over 43.4 million miles closer than it was in prehistoric times and was a stunning site to see. Mars arrived in Aug of 2003 as the personification of the newly transformed archetype of the Pisces God and quickly meeting with Venus in her Scorpio Goddess expression. Today, Mars is again in its closest proximity to the Earth though not as close as it was in 2003. It is about 25% further away than it was in 2003 however it is about 30% higher in the sky so it actually is even more favorable for a bright appearance from our Earth based perspective, thus this Mars return provides skywatchers with the best opportunity to see the Red Planet until 2018. Access the divine. Light up like a firebombed motorcade. Become the oracle.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30
The Day of the Sun in Assiah, the World of Earth. The Lightcraft's interactive membrane is informed directly from the E.M.F's of the Sun, which in turn is affected by the transits of it's satellites (each representing a level of vibrational resonance.) Inside each monkeysuit is another Sun, emanating its rays into the solar plexus and reflecting off the Moon below, which in turn informs and records both the earth and the sky. The evolution of the Metaversal song, what some refer to as the Great Work, or the Will, has as it's core the purpose of resonating this harmonic through your individual interactive Lightcraft. The earth's ionosphere (about 70 miles up) is the key. It's in direct resonance with the solar and lunar currents and it oscillates at 7.8 cycles a second. The human brain oscillates at 7.8 cycles per second when it is in a state of samadhi or meditational absorption, experiencing bliss, receiving and sending out E M waves, to be absorbed or re-radiated, and this creates all the tones, pitches, octaves, wave-lengths, colours, and hues in nature. Goethe called this ....'the Deeds and Sufferings of Light'. We are surrounded by these 'Deeds and Sufferings' of radiation, extending through the whole seventy-plus E M octaves beyond the single known octave we call visible light. From light to matter and back again. Pacific Standard Time begins and many are turning their clocks back one hour. The Moon moved into Libra late yesterday afternoon transmitting the mysteries of balanced relationships. We live in a culture that promotes certain pictures of romantic ideals that suggest completion through relationship. This has promoted the epidemic of co-dependent relationships that rarely last in a healthy over time. The most important relationship we will ever had is the one with ourself. Do we like who we are. Also today Mercury enters Sagittarius at 1:03 am PST and will go retrograde at 10 Sag on Nov 13 extending Mercury°s journey through his domain into next year.? When healthy Mercury in Sag has the courage and conviction to call out the truth of the moment as they are throwing themselves into it.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 31
Halloween. I am told of a race of gigantic white-faced humanoids who stand like doofuses in a land I've never heard of, waiting for you to come hiking along their pathway so they can crush your skull and eat your brains.The thin waning crescent moon is 3° east of bright star Spica low in the east at dawn further energizing last month's Jupiter, Moon, Mercury and Venus connection to this important fixed star. Found in the hand of the constellation of the Virgin Priestess (a.k.a. Virgo) Spica reminds us that "As we sew, So shall we reap" and has the ability to enhance lucid dreaming states, as well as psychic abilities such as psychometry and levitation through pure mind energy and remote viewing. What are you and who do you want? If you're here to frighten us, congratulations: we've been screaming for hours. You make our hair crawl and our skin stand on end and even the cat is hyperventilating now. I'll gladly slip into the worst horror dream in exchange for your departure. Meanwhile - as you exhibit no indication of heeding our reasonable request - back to the screaming.

Exploder issue...

Hey, if anyone out there has IE 6.0 on a Windows box and can look at Olla and tell me if the entire right-hand sidebar is pushed all the way down to the bottom of the page I would really appreciate it. Comment below or just send me an email at ninah@ubuibi.org. I rarely use IE anymore but have it on my PC and my Mac and both were fine last time I checked but now IE on the PC is all screwy but it's fine everywhere else and in both Mozilla and Firefox.

Ugh. As if I should even care anymore about frakkin' Innerdnet Exploiter anymore.

Spooky Pixie Greetings

While I've been home recuperating from the flu, I dug up a few photos that I've been meaning to scan and found one from two Octobers ago (that was actually my real hair at the time-- blue dreds and extensions). It seemed somehow appropriate to decorate it a bit and then post it here to mark the season. I'm hoping I don't look this scary tomorrow when I appear back at work after being sick all weekend long but who knows, it might be an improvement ;)

More Kate (new photo)

Apologies for the deluge of KB-related posts at Olla lately but since I'm still not feeling 100% up to snuff I just thought I'd leave a few breadcrumbs here for any of you other KB fans out there that might be interested.

Here's the new photo of lovely Kate from the November 2005 issue of Attitude magazine (UK):

One of the members at the Homeground forum kindly uploaded scans of the entire interview. Pages can be viewed here and here.

New Kate Bush VIDEO!

KING OF THE MOUNTAIN
(click to watch video)

Personal note after viewing:

I'm not sure yet what I think of this other than it's really very good to see Kate in a video again after so many years. I'm not sure I quite get the Elvis theme in this song though. If anyone else has thoughts, jot'em here in the comments. Probably not supposed to read too much into it but who knows...

Could you see the aisles of women?
Could you see them screaming and weeping?
Could you see the storm rising?
Could you see the guy who was driving?
Could you climb higher and higher?
Could you climb right over the top?
Why does a multi-millionaire
Fill up his home with priceless junk?

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain

Another Hollywood waitress
Is telling us she's having your baby
And there's a rumour that you're on ice
And you will rise again someday
And that there's a photograph
Where you're dancing on your grave

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain
The wind it blows
The wind it blows the door closed

Melancholy with a touch of the flu....

This pretty much describes the state I'm in as of last night. Been bedridden all day until now, and am just standing up on my feet to try to make some sort of food that won't make me queasy and also catch up on a little bit of email before having to submit to the woozies again from this flu thing. Thought I'd jot this here in case anyone's wondering where I've been. I've stashed away a bunch of neat stuff I've read online this week but have no energy to post it. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better, more healthful day.

Since I spent most of today trying to rest in bed I ended up reading the rest of this book I checked out from the library the other day called The Time Traveler's Wife (2003) which was recommended to me earlier this year by a few folks. Maybe some of you have read it already, but I do recommend it. Really well-written-- a love story with a twist. I can say no more otherwise it would ruin the experience if you plan to read it. For me it had a bit more personal meaning because the story takes place mostly in Chicago during a timeline when I lived there and in some of the same neighborhoods that are frequently mentioned are ones I either lived in or worked in. It was almost eerie to read about some of the places the characters traveled through (real places that were so much a part of my daily routine there back in the late 1980s). I found the book in the library's sci-fi section, which is appropriate in a way but it's more about the love story than the sci-fi aspect. Just make sure you have lots of kleenex, that is all I will say for now.

Looks like there will be a movie made from it and possibly with Brad Pitt in the main role of Henry. I'll hold my opinions about this when I hear more about it, but for now it's listed in the IMDB as out in 2006.

Seven Things Meme

I agree with Anne and anaglyph about not usually participating in the meme thing, but after seeing these pop up at a few of the other familiar blogs I read, I couldn't help myself but to try (and surprisingly enough, it was quite challenging and took a really long time to finish.)

SEVEN THINGS I CAN DO

* Play more than one musical instrument
(including two flutes at the same time and playing the piano without looking)

* Dance continuously for up to four hours
(without the use of drugs)

* Love my enemies
(this was an acquired skill over the past ten years)

* Cook
(most anything with the exception of red meat-- I make a mean veggie lasagna.)

* Cut, style and dye my own hair
(many years of practise)

* Speak the truth
(I suck at lying, believe me I've tried.)

* CENSORED *
(my parents read my blog so I'm leaving this one out-- but it's the thought that counts, right?)

SEVEN THINGS I CAN'T DO

* Drive on freeways
(in my "old age" I've discovered I suck at driving over 55mph, although I quite enjoy being the passenger)

* Crawl through confined spaces on my hands and knees in the dark
(attempted this once at the SF Exploratorium at a walk-through installation they have there called the Tactile Dome-- brought out my worst case ever of claustrophobia and the guide had to come and pull me back out after about 10 minutes. Very embarassing-- even tiny children laughed and pointed at me.)

* Watch anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in it
(causes a condition similar to epilepsy accompanied by a bloodcurdling scream that could wake the dead.)

* Take politics seriously
(I mean, come on, just look at this mess!)

* Believe in only one version of "reality"
(who is the master who makes the grass green?)

* Live forever
(although I'll probably die trying.)

* Give birth
(not can't but won't -- too many people already here on Earth fucking shit up, why add to it?)

SEVEN THINGS THAT SCARE ME

* The thought of a nuclear holocaust happening within my lifetime

* Flying on airplanes

* Guns
(I've had one pointed at me once and hope it never happens again.)

* Earthquakes
(survived the 7.1 Loma Prieta back in 1989 in Santa Cruz, CA and am not looking forward to the next one, which will inevitably happen within my lifetime-- thoughts of moving elsewhere remain high on the list.)

* Really big bugs and/or snakes that can bite/sting and kill you and can survive under water (shudder...)

* People who follow leaders

* Living longer than my loved ones

SEVEN THINGS I WANT TO DO BEFORE I DIE

* Communicate in some way with an extraterrestrial being

* Visit Morocco, Japan and Australia

* Completely read every book (and comic book) in my home library

* Pure unadulterated LSD
(original formula, just like Owsley used to make...)

* Have my entire back tattooed
(I've been working on a specific design for this for over 15 years and am now searching for just the right artist to assist me in completing the work.)

* Move to Amsterdam
(or at least be there when I shuffle off this mortal coil...)

* Witness an end to world hunger, disease and all war on earth

SEVEN RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME

* I love anything and everything to do with vampires.

* Once upon a time, I used to make a living selling bongs, pipes, handmade jewelry and incense at flea markets and fairs.

* I waited until I was 20 before having sex.

* My husband dAS and I have known each other for 18 years (October 28th we'll celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary)

* I was previously married and remain friends with my ex to this day.

* I've been passionately kissed by another woman once.

* At one time or another in my life I've had up to 11 piercings in various places on my body. I'm now down to 8.

SPECIAL LIVE IN-STUDIO PERFORMANCE
by members of NF-ORCHEST

NF Orchest is a Bay Area electro-acoustic / noisenik / improv trio centered around the activities of Angela Hsu, Andrew Way, and James Kaiser. While Hsu has connections with Mills College, Way and Kaiser have performed extensively around the Bay Area as French Radio with Bruce Anderson; Kaiser also records solo under the moniker Petit Mal. Bowed metals, damaged turntables, tumbled rocks, screeched violin pushed through squawk boxes, and the improbabilities of feedback all come together in the density of raw sound of NF Orchest that reflects the same interest in acoustic sonology as heard in Organum and Tony Conrad. Couple those influences with a eagerness to set off depth-charge rumbles, subterranean detonations, and Skaters-esque lo-fi dissonance, NF Orchest adds a particular noise-junk malice that is all their own.

dAS will be your host...(along with ninah pixie, jesse burson & friends...)

Metaversal Full Moon Eclipse Report

...brought to you by Johannes Ayres

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM

-FULL MOON ECLIPSE- (already in-process...)

MONDAY, OCTOBER 17
Lunar eclipses are special Full Moons (5:37 a.m. PDT). Here on Earth on the shore of the astral sea, I see you eyeing me across the grand ballroom, with it's exquisite walls of lapis and onyx, and it's Neo-modernist elliptic-hyperboloid French watertower of reinforced concrete with panoptic stained-glass lazuli windows. Under the great crystal chandeliers, humanity waltzes to the best the 21st century has to offer. There is nothing flexible about the way you're looking at me across those giant blue ice sculptures. The palace, the planet and all it's inhabitants, are poised precisely between the yang radiation of the Sun on one side and the yin magnetic forces of the Moon on the other. As the Moon is slivered by the shadow of the Earth, she darkens, and as she re-ignites, we seem to experience the lunar cycle in just a few hours. (The person in charge of dispelling lunar notions is off-duty during the hours of greatest morphic resonance, in order to provoke the gods.) Once more, there is a blockage of light; once more, habitual perceptions and pathways are altered. When the dancing bear takes off its red dress and shits on the floor, we burst into action.

With the Sun at 24° Libra and the Moon at 24° Aries, the Scales of Justice are sharply illuminated. In partnerships of all kinds - personal, professional, political - we become more aware of the need to compromise and collaborate. We recognize that we can accomplish more together than individually. Eventually, we see that opposites are part of a continuum, eternally coupled and defining each other by contrast. Yin needs Yang; Light relies on Dark to provide the playground for Consciousness to enjoy the game of duality. The dancing bear puts the red dress back on, announcing grandly that you and I are the guests of Le Comte de Lautréamont. We trash the place, but leave swiftly when physical injury from retaliation appears imminent. (Any number of optional analogous actions - use your imagination - will be deemed acceptable if the correct spirit is brought to them.)

Jupiter at 28° Libra is close to his yearly conjunction with the Sun (exact on October 22), expanding our faith in ourselves, others, and life in general. The good news is that our bodies are mostly water and so are relatively inexpensive to maintain, offering similar opportunities to build broader bridges of understanding between couples, companies, and countries. The bad news is that, due to global warming, water levels are rising. However, Jupiter encourages optimism, generosity, and tolerance and reminds us that there are as many ways of looking at life as there are people. As Jupiter moves into Scorpio (on October 25, 2005), our light of higher understanding shines into the deeper realms of partnership: sexuality, shared resources, and the transformation that occurs when we become intimate with another on any level. Our passage through the sign ruled by the Lord of the Underworld will bring a mutual reception with Pluto in Sagittarius, catalyzing an even greater awareness of the power of belief, the power of the shadow, and the power of truth, making our hair crawl and our skin stand on end and even the cat is hyperventilating now.

Chiron at 28° Capricorn squares Jupiter and the lunar eclipse, offering an opportunity to resolve old grievances and create more equitable exchanges. Like the solar eclipse two weeks earlier, this lunar eclipse traces back 19 years to the one occurring on October 17, 1986 at 24° 07' Aries-Libra. Associations begun then are ready to be completed or go to the next level. Notice the houses and any planets activated in your natal chart by this eclipse; those areas denote where you are seeking to cultivate a new balance between assertion and compromise. This eclipse is right on the Bush midheaven, showing major change in his status in the world. People are seeing him differently. (Yes, Bush's midheaven conjoins Black Hole Hades. Figures.)

The Sabian Symbol for 25 Aries is:

"THE POSSIBILITY FOR A HUMAN TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AT TWO LEVELS OF BEING. The revelation of new potentialities. The implied message is one of faith. One can only experience what he deeply believes he can experience. The new step in evolution is only a possibility, a promise. The individual is truly ON PROBATION."

Moth Masque

I had forgotten how much I loved hearing this work.

Also, seeing as well as hearing. The packaging and layout are very creative. The entire thing tells a nice little story. They have three nice tracks available to hear for free at this spot. Otherwise, if you are interested in the 'real deal' you can email them and see if there are any copies left. (Ali's got a track on the upcoming WTBTN compilation.)

Moth Masque is Alicia of Funeral and Timothy, Revelator

All of the music on Moth Masque's debut is played on a Joseph Rickett banjo from 1880. It was played in the clawhammer, 2-finger, and 3-finger styles. It was played with a slide; a bow; it was beat like a drum; strummed; and sung through. Alicia and Timothy added vocals to this musical bed, and the entire album was then processed via aetheric engineering creating a true mix of sounds culled from the 1800s through today. Moth Masque makes love songs through the eyes of moths. Or, perhaps, moth songs through the eyes of love

Moth Masque's music now forms the soundtrack to a film by Kapa Productions based on concepts from Moth Masque. To be released on DVD upcoming.

More Serenity afterglow...

Still ooo-ahhhing from last night's viewing of Serenity. I also noticed that the promo photo I posted last night didn't include my favourite character, River (played by actress Summer Glau), so here's a great shot of her in one of the best scenes (imho) in the film (don't worry, you'll get no spoilers from me!)

Spooky. Girl. Kicks. Ass.

Wild horses...

should NOT keep you from seeing this film!

Good godz this movie was beyond my wildest dreams. Just got back from the late show at our nearby cineplex where we suffered through 20+ minutes of annoying corporate product placement, commercials, bad movie trailers and even a blipvert from the US Marines just to get to the chewey nougat in the center (well worth it, actually- and we even paid full price *yelp*).

GO SEE SERENITY and when the DVD's come out, RENT THE HELL OUT OF THEM.

We want more.

Grandmother

It's around October when the season really sets in for me. It's the ancestral time, time of remembering, also time of letting go. I love this time of year, particularly when the colors change and how the cooler weather seems to make the wind smell different. I welcome the quiet time that the approach of winter represents.

I think of my Grandmother, my father's mother. She taught me the love of cooking and especially baking things for family and friends. I ran across this place tonite and it really hit home with me-- might do something for some of you out there as well, who knows:

GRANDMOTHER'S SECRETS: A CULTURAL ARCHIVE

One of my favourite treasures is a small collection of recipes dictated to me by my grandmother, only one is in her handwriting. They're on little scraps of paper, some torn a bit with age and some flecked with little bits from my past experiments, and yet I can not ever seem to throw them away. I suppose in some way they are the breadcrumbs that allow me to travel back to those special times spent in my grandmother's kitchen, happy times. I'm glad I stumbled on this website tonite while I had time to decompress from some of my work and some of the mental effects on my psyche from so many tumultuous and tragic planetary happenings (earthquakes, hurricanes and such). It's good to keep memories like these in the old spacesuit safety kit for when you need them (or rather, while you can still remember them!) and of course, make new ones all the time as well-- that's fun too.

Saturday linkblast...

Just when I caught myself thinking the web was really boring me to tears, it's click-click-click and off I go into the vastness. There really are way too many good things popping up online these days. It's downright scary.

More good links found at Rossignol and the Merlin Godfrey page is one of them. Goodstuff.

24:THREE (hypercomic by Merlin Godfrey)
"The Conundrunomicon holds many secrets. It also holds many lies. If there's a trick to telling one from the other, then sadly I've yet to find it." My third attempt at a 24 Hour Comic resulted in this snapshot of a sleep-deprived brain.

Also at Rossignol was a brief mention of some 3D digital online world stuff that is sort of blowing my mind--- something called Second Life. He also mentions another interesting place called Always Black which is somehow connected to Merlin Godfrey, although I could not afford the time to delve further in. Fascinating.

Off I go now to continue working on WTBTN. Focus, focus, focus.

What a bizarro little page...

Kooky little collection of random weirdness found via a link from Rossignol. A highly amusing collection.

RITUAL CAT

When the spiritual teacher and his disciples began their evening meditation, the cat who lived in the monastery made such noise that it distracted them. So the teacher ordered that the cat be tied up during the evening practice. Years later, when the teacher died, the cat continued to be tied up during the meditation session. And when the cat eventually died, another cat was brought to the monastery and tied up. Centuries later, learned descendants of the spiritual teacher wrote scholarly treatises about the religious significance of tying up a cat for meditation practice.

Kate Bush album art has cryptic message

Kate Bush’s new album cover reportedly contains a hidden message that fans are desperate to decode.

Bush’s first album in more than a decade entitled ‘Aerial’ has a soundwave image on the artwork that contains the cryptic message, apparently it is a "visual representation of spoken, or sung words over music."

A source told this morning's Daily Star: "Sound analysts and fans alike have been agonisingly attempting to work out the message. The current favourites are wildly different."

So far the leading suggestion are ‘We paint penguins pink’, 'Elvis is alive’ and 'Wind and waves of love’ although its not known if any of these are correct.

The source revealed that the plan was to baffle and intrigue the fans, they said: All the artwork on the album is interlinked and the cover art is supposed to get people guessing. The true message will only be revealed when you buy the album."

The insider also quashed rumours that the second cd of the album will feature one continuous song, saying: The second disc, or B-side, is a number of different songs all linked together by theme to create one fluid piece of music."

Metaversal Fireweek Forecast (Oct 3-9)

This just arrived in my inbox last night from Johannes (too late to post) so it's a couple days late on the forecast, but better late than not. Some folks have mentioned that they prefer reading the forecasts after the date has passed and that sometimes things are more clear that way.

Thanks to Johannes for sending them in any case, we certainly appreciate having them!

THE METAVERSAL LIGHTCRAFT
HYPER-ABYSSIC ASTROLOGY FORECAST
AND LIGHT SPECIFIC YOGA PLATFORM
THE METAVERSAL WATERWEEK FORECAST

Atziluth
First Quarter Moon
-FIREWEEK-
October 3rd to October 9th

Fireweek is the time to remember we're in the pilots seat of our own personal Lightcraft and make some corrections if we've veered off course. You needn't dress in any but the most perfunctory manner nor bring any crickets (there will be plenty of those!) The Sun is in Libra at the begining of this Lunar cycle. The name Libra comes from the Libyan Goddess of Holy Law who carried the scales of judgment, and her counterpart in Egypt was Maat, the spirit of equilibrium, of justice, truth and rightness. She lived within a person and also existed outside and so was known as the 'double Maat,' encompassing both individual and cosmic consciousness. After death the Egyptians believed that the heart was weighed against a feather in the scales of Maat. Maat was no dispenser of punishment, however; she was the personification of truth, the spirit that animates all living beings, both divine and human. If the heart were too heavy then, without blame or punishment, the soul would return to earth to reincarnate until light enough for final liberation. Maat had no temple because she could not be confined; she was the natural order itself. To be in accord with natural truth and justice creates harmony, and Maat symbolized this quality.

The New Moon in Libra on October 3 is a solar eclipse, opening a new chapter in relationships while closing an old one. The stars will be out in full force and the mirrorstream will be kleiglit by lamps affixed to the underside of the bridge. You will be naked I am obsessed with Enochian angles and colors in awe. Libra's focus is on relationships, but Libra wouldrather clean up the past than forge ahead into the future. This lunation conjoins the Moon's South Node in Libra, reminding us that partnerships built by strong individuals (North Node in independent Aries) are most likely to endure. Venus, the traditional ruler of Libra, occupies a very influential position during this eclipse. In Scorpio and closely semi-square the Sun and Moon, Venus draws us into experiencing our deepest desires and fears. Venus also opposes her mythic counterpart, Mars. The God of War dancing with the Goddess of Love and Beauty sparks love, libido, and passions of all kinds; the more sides of ourselves that we've repressed, the greater the infatuations and revelations will be. When Venus entered Scorpio she was lovingly put inside a transparent gyroscope roving the Carnival of the Torture Demons, so to speak. For all intents and purposes, she could have been put in the shark tank diving-bell - but you'll get a hell of a lot more out of this experience, I guarantee you. While it might not feel like it, you'll be safe in Scorpio - it's like a magic carpet with an impermeable aura - and Scorpio itself is the ultimate spectacle of sheer menacing horror and pranksterish delirium.

In the intimacy of relationship, we become more conscious of our shadow and thus more conscious of our light. Mars's ardor has been intensified by his station retrograde at 23° Taurus on October 1, just two days before this eclipse; this signals the beginning of a two-month re-evaluation of our desires and the strategies we've been using to achieve them. If I were to kiss you here they'd call it an act of terrorism-- so let's take our pistols to bed & wake up the city at midnight like drunken bandits celebrating with a fusillade, the message of the taste of chaos. Because of his retrograde phase, the Red Planet will be spending six-and-a-half months in Taurus rather than the usual 6-8 weeks. So, that period (from July 27, 2005 to February 17, 2006) is an excellent time to work on our relationship with money, security, and abundance. Chiron in Capricorn turns direct on October 4, which brings healing into the foreground. Venus sashays into outgoing Sagittarius on October 7, kicking off a more active social cycle, and Mercury's entry into Scorpio on October 8 intensifies communication and deepens our thoughts.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 3
The first day of a new Lunar cycle always gets my donkeys up on stage! The solar eclipse New Moon in Libra at 3:29 a.m. goes forward and backward at the same time. All New Moons mark fresh turns of the cosmic tides, beginning another monthly cycle of activity. But whenever there's an eclipse as well, excess baggage from the past could be slowing us down. This one's about relationships, so tossing out mental photos of love gone wrong may be required cleanup if you want to make a fresh start. Put some new pictures on your wall and new images in your mind that support starting over, either in your current relationship or the pursuit of a new one. Ideas should be plentiful, with Mercury making four aspects over the next three days. Today's sextile to Pluto and sesquiquadrate to Uranus both deepen and brighten conversation. Nuggets of information are exposed and then polished into new and radical forms. A solar eclipse involves a temporary blockage of the Sun's light, diverting the customary flow of our awareness. Even during an annular eclipse (such as this one), when a narrow ring of sunlight is still visible, perceptions of time and space are altered. Birds hush, flowers close, bees become disoriented. Whether or not we actually see the eclipse, we feel the increased gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon. A beam of lunar information penetrates into the Earth and into our psyche. I'm so excited by the prospect that you might actually join me on this information penetration outing that I've been masturbating - and furiously! - all morning in anticipation. Dr. Shabubu told me that this would be good for calming my nerves –indeed the opposite, for I find myself in a neurasthenic frenzy just contemplating the notion that you and I might picnic together beneath those samebolts of lightning which are sure to set the Riddley barns aflame again.

A solar eclipse opens an evolutionary doorway; it also offers an opportunity to hit the reset button - to remember and realign with the original intentions encoded in our birth chart. Eclipses in Libra focus our attention on partnership and the ongoing balancing act between independence and cooperation. Each of us has the sign of Libra somewherein our birth chart; those with planets or angles around 10° Libra will feel the transformative impulse of this eclipse most strongly. For everyone, the house activated by this eclipse denotes the area of life where we will grow more rapidly through interaction with others than through solo endeavors. The need to reconsider our objectives and expand our perspective is amplified by Mars's quincunx to Pluto at 22° Sagittarius and another to Jupiter at 25° Libra (and to Mercury at 22° Libra as well). This forms a yod, a challenging configuration that calls for the elimination of unproductive attitudes and methods. Venus at 25° Scorpio occupies the resolution point of the yod, symbolizing the need to shift from the love of power to the power of love.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4
The Day of Mars in Fireweek sees the red planet retrograde in Taurus. Uncover the inner dynamic at the core of your Lightcraft and follow its instructions implicitly. The language or system used is completely unimportant as long as it reflects and supports balance within your body. Early today, Mercury quincunxes stationary Mars, which is likely to stimulate more talk than action. Coaxing will work better than pushing, and working around problems, rather than facing them head-on, is probably the wisest move now. At 5:03 p.m., the Moon enters Scorpio; For the next two and a half days, secret desires, hidden fears and subconscious drives surface more easily. Scorpio represents the period from 42 years old to Death, when ones sense of Time compacts and passes rapidly. Since this stage is the last in the life of the human biological machine, it's now time to transcend the confines of the mortal body and to assure continued existence, either you breed (pass on your DNA) or step out of the loop (become your DNA). On the World scale, Scorpio is between AD 1100 and AD 1500, when the Dark Ages reached their peak. This is the Time of the Crusades and the Inquisition, when Pain, Bloodshed and Oppression swept over Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, after the uneasy alliances made during Libra. This is the sign of the Shadow. Successfully navigated, one can experience healthy, flowing spontaneous sexuality, an acceptance of Death and an integration of its reality into daily life, thus gaining a sense of the immortality of consciousness. The Scorpio Moon is building strange bridges and arousing otherworldly passions, the eye opening each thing like poetic treasure, emotions intensify and positions harden. Give feelings time to simmer before acting on them. Chiron turns direct tonight at 27°" 48' Capricorn, while the Moon in surgical Scorpio, reminds us that facing the pain is the first step toward healing.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5
The Day of Mercury in the Week of Fire finds the fleet footed one in his home sign of Virgo. Here he is cautious, modest, humble, unassuming in the way he expresses himself. Problematic Mercury in Virgo Qualities: Hair-splitting, too much of a perfectionist, getting lost in the "fine print" and the details.Where Mercury is present, there are no boundaries to ideas. The incenses attributed to Mercury and the sephirah Hod are Storax and fresh White-out. The Power of Mercury in Atziluth (Fire) is THE ABILITY TO CONCEPTUALIZE. Mercury is the Word, the Logos in the highest, the direct means of connection between polarities: yet he is in himself indifferent to all things, as the electrick current is indifferent to the meaning of the messages which are transmitted by it's means.

Mercury teaches (by demonstration), the animation of Eidolons, the magick indwelling of icons by Spirit. Mercury conjuncts Jupiter (25°" 37' Libra), a mentally rich combination of details and big ideas, full-bodied conversation, and bold promises. This is good for teaching, learning, traveling, and sales, but it can be tricky now to sort out the difference between a fact and a belief. With the Moon in Scorpio we are in the darker realms, feeling horny and sharp as the proverbial stiletto, bent at tearing away every comforting lie, every soothing half-truth. It may put you in a lighthouse made of black rubber and steel. Its walls will be adorned with mandalas of contraluz opals and petrified wood. Itwill be evenly lit by an indiscernible source I haven't figured out yet. Its atmosphere could be suffused with an idyllic sadness. You may hear the foghorns of ghostships. You may see, through crystal windows, gigantic manta rays surging through primordial waves in a sea blasted by silent lightning. Have you any toothpaste? Be sure to screw the cap on tightly:You are only as healthy as the Secrets that you keep. Avoid the dirt nap yourself by frequent "little deaths."A Venus-Chiron sextile today shows the health benefits that come from having a good time.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6

Take physical exercise in Jupiter's Day, when he is reigning, and use Jovial things such as Lapis Lazuli, Brass, Cedarwood, blue and aery colours, wine, honey; and entertain thoughts and feelings which are particularly Jovial, that is, expansive, healthy, and with good humour... - Marsilio Ficino, Renaissance Astrologer and Orphic Musician

The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Fire and Force, Atziluth. Projecting Light Specific Blue and facing West, vibrate this azure deluxe into your Second Chakra along with the mantrum: EE-BE-DA. Jupiter is all about allowing ambiguity, contradiction, and movement. It isn't about integration. It helps the ego become more flexible. By Jove, life isn't about staying calm and balanced, but rather about keeping complexity and drama and everything else alive and in dynamic flow. Venus is semi-square (45°" ) the Sun (28°" 42' Scorpio - 13°" 42' Libra), the only hard aspect possible between this normally close-linked pair. There's a potential for objectivity when Venus, the mirror of self-worth, is held at this sharp angle to the solar sense of self. Yet, egos may be more fragile now, and mild criticism could sting like a swarm of angry bees (THEY'RE IN THE WHAT NOW?). The fun part is knowing that this nice little braid cascade of planetary wave donuts gets its pressure nested to fold all inside out through one slip knot to ... elsewhere....and don't hesitate, meditate, because not only is stable gravity the wind of magnetism permitted by fractal symmetry to go BETWEEN frequencies in a cascade, but magnetism is also actually the WIND ON WHICH LOVE TRAVELS.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
The Day of Venus in the week of Fire. In the Western Mystery Tradition, the most pervasive polyamorous archetype is Aphrodite, Greek goddess of Love and Beauty. She is Venus, Ishtar, Astarte, Inanna and relates to the sephera Netzach on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. While she had more lovers than any other Greek goddess she was not victimized and never suffered from her numerous love affairs as did many of the other goddesses. Neither was she jealous or possessive. Unlike her counter parts she was allowed freely to choose both her husband and many lovers. She inspired poetry, communication and art as well as love. Her liaison with Hermes produced the bisexual Hermaphroditus. and her long time union with Mars (God of War) produced a daughter, Harmonia. Thus Love and War combined to give rise to Harmony. There's plenty of truth in the offing on with the Moon entering Sagittarius at 12:28 a.m., followed by Venus's ingress into the same sign that very night. Sagittarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between Conception and 7 weeks, the first Lunar month after the sperm reaches the egg, and is a compacted pattern at a molecular time scale of the entire life of the cellular body. The embryo develops in parallel with the earlier phases of evolution, retaining memory of these structures in the brain. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Sagittarius represents Initiation beyond the realms of Death (Scorpio). On the World scale, Sag occupies the period between AD 1500 and AD 1750, The Renaissance. This was the time when astrology, mathematics, musick and geometry were understood as divine techniques for communicating with the Soul of the World. With the Moon in Sagittarius we are into philosophical speculation, adventure, and foreign influences, and actions that expand the awareness through gathering unfamiliar experiences. The real good news is that optimism and hope propel us upward and onward. Frank words (not put-downs) are likely to be heard now. A sense of humor is Sagittarius's gift and almost a requirement today, if cleverness is to be inspiring rather than hurtful. A Sun-Neptune trine tonight (14°" 55' Libra-Aquarius) adds sensitivity and idealism that don't necessarily flourish in Sagittarius’ normally bawdy atmosphere. Truth served up with tenderness is the only kind that can be easily ingested now. Although Sun-Neptune has enormous capacity to forgive, Get the responsibilities taken care of early so the rest of the day and night can be devoted to our Lady Aphrodite. The Eternal Feminine will lure to perfection.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
Mercury's entry into Scorpio at 10:15 a.m. may make the mind a researcher, the detective, the spy. When Mercury is in Scorpio, ideas are intense and resourceful, but there may be a secretiveness about us, because Mercury in Scorpio does not lik talk a lot or reveal everything it knows. Mercury in Scorpio represents an important segment of development in the overall creative process of life and is part of the larger Mercury cycle of intellectual focus and learning. We are deeply interested in all things dark, hidden or mysterious, including religion and political conspiracies, and in all forms of research. Resentments can pile up without being noticed, like dust bunnies in dark corners, eventually dimming our high hopes with cynicism. Yet, psychological perceptiveness that can be applied to tough emotional issues also accompanies Mercury in Scorpio. We recognize wounded places - but not to rub salt in the wound, thereby turning minor scratches into scars. To heal relationship issues, we must become as sensitive to others pain and suffering as we are to our own. This would be a good time to mention that the structural basis for all Light-specific work in the Metaverse is regular, disciplined connection to the No-Form, meditation, contemplation, what ever you want to call it, as long as it's deep. The Light-Specific State initiates itself with SOLITUDE, the gratifying element of being alone (if only for 20 minutes a day)...without which, true development is impossible. The point is to connect to your inner source of stability, the state of potentia, the No-Form, at least once a day. No-Form is not a goal or state of "spiritual arrival" (as some religions would have us believe), it is a highly practical, multipurpose tool for dissolving our identification with the ego. If you want to play with us, this is the only rule. The foundation of our Lightcraft is built in Chaos, so you must maintain a firm foundation, or Chaos your life will be. Some of us need this connection four times a day (sunrise, true noon, sunset, true midnight). Some of us actually manage to do it four times a day. It is a choice you must make. I would do it for you if I could. Once a day is all that's required to maintain the Continuity function. Future generations of yourself will be glad this came to pass. Yoga, Ceremonial Magick, this astrology forecast, they all provide ritual technology for Self initiation. But the key word here is Self. T The Metaverse vibrates rapidly tonight and new ideas about love explode into consciousness like salvo after salvo of ripened spores shooting forth into the air.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9
The Day of the Sun in Fireweek. The six of Wands (Sun in Atziluth) is all about being acknowledged, getting a pat on the back, achieving recognition. You can triumph over yourself, the environment, or the odds. Your talents begin in the Divine, develop with the love and support of others, and only in the end express through us. When obtaining the summit of this holy mountain, keep in mind this fourth-dimensional "Metaverse" possesses a design and field of motion encoded with solar-galactic information. Few things symbolize victory and glory like obtaining the summit of this Holy Mountain. In order to do so one has to plan, organize, exercise patience, and overcome mental and physical hardships. In short - be willing to do the seemingly impossible and then accept the credit when your objective is completed. In order to climb this Mountain and participate in the design of Lightcraft Earth, humans need only correct their calendar by synchronizing it to the Metaversal spin. This is what makes a Lightpilot. Released from their materialistic time warp, humans will be able to address their problems from the Metaversal perspective. Once they have understood and resolved their problems through application of the self-organizing principles of the galactic calendar, they will then be able to practice the Metaversal art of galactic time, standing atop the Holy Mountain. Take a small step made out of stars. Sleep until you wake up dreaming.

At 5:43 a.m. the Moon enters Capricorn. The promise of this placement is emotional maturity and the patience to work through tough issues with discipline and respect. However, Capricorn can also be a sign of dominance; sometimes, the only way to see relationships is through the lens of control. This is clearly not a way to engender trust or build intimacy, but its fine if you're just working on your own. With the Moon in Capricorn, opportunities are stimulated when one works hard, assumes responsibilities, and tunes into Nature and it's mystical rhythms. Capricorn represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 7 weeks until 12 weeks after Conception, when the embryo becomes a fetus, and the sex and physical appearance are determined. The body takes form through it's skeletal system. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Capricorn represents the integration and structuring of the higher perceptions of the Self in the World on a practical level. On the World scale, Capricorn occupies the period between AD 1750 and AD 1840. This was the time when the ideology of Sagittarius was translated into material form. Humanity assumed a superiority over the forces of nature, and the Industrial revolution began. Romanticism surrounded the likes of Shelly, Goethe, Byron, and Chopin, reacting to the cold prevailing mechanistic World view. Rudolph Steiner said that the human being is created, and destined to be, a self-defining creature. Are we slightly higher than monkeys or slightly lower than angels? Good old fashion hard work yields the answer. Monkeys and Angels are set to grind corn today.. Tackle those long term projects and remember, the Mountain must be tackled one step at a time. If partnership matters at all to you now, though, be kind to yourself and others. It can make an enormous difference.
