At last, I am free...
I can hardly see in front of me...
Happy 2006, everyone.
Well, I did it. I was able to meet my goal of finishing all of the pre-press work and cd mastering (with dAS's help, that is) for Women Take Back The Noise! Wheeee. Nothing like working a marathon week and a half solid, staying up until 3-4am each night, forgetting to eat, etc. Anyway, I just wanted to take a second here and document it, just because... The big fun is yet-to-come. We've still got circuit-bending to do. Lots of it. Thousands of little tiny wires, solder fumes, yum.
and suddenly, I feel like singing.
Wait. How 'bout this instead? Let's hear Liz Fraser do it (better than I could)-- here's a cover (mp3) of a favourite Robert Wyatt tune ("At Last, I Am Free") which very much encapsulates how I am feeling as of this moment.
(limited time download, will be removed from my server in a week...)
