Drones and phones...

Haven't done one of these audioblog things yet, but wanted to try, so here's an attempt at using my new SunRocket VoIP service and posting an Audioblog. It's not the greatest quality sound file, but as a test I did a simple shruti box drone. I will try this again soon.

BTW: if anyone is interested, I can wholeheartedly recommend SunRocket as a good choice (US only, I believe). The connection quality has been crystal clear and in two days there has been no noticeable hitches, glitches or downtime. Will continue the report in a week or so. We decided to keep our regular landline for a week or so while we're switching things and still testing out the new service, but I can pretty much say at this point I am convinced to make the jump completely. I'm really looking forward to my parting conversation with AT&T, who, by the way, have already wedged their way in with their own VoIP offerings, although they are quite a bit more expensive than Vonage or SunRocket.

It's weird, at first, to fathom the freedom one feels when realizing that there is no longer the need for guilt pangs when calling long distance and talking for an hour at a time. I could get used to this...
