Peter Murphy interviews (old and new)

Well, here I am, popping my head back into the "worlds next-door" that I've been missing so much while working my fingers to the bone on WTBTN. You don't know how much I've been jonesing to just sit and ooze away the afternoon with blogging. I have had to drum up incredible amounts of sheer will power to avoid getting stuck in the chair. So far, so good. Assembly is progressing nicely, but there is sooooo frakkin' much of it, I've almost cried at times. While I've been away and chained to the soldering iron I've been checking back occasionally to read a few of your blogs and go fishing for a few tidbits along the way. I'll be posting them slowly, in between breaks. Thanks to some of my friends who tossed me some post-able things which will make their way out onto the fresh fields shortly...

So, here's the first of these tidbits-- some excellent video and audio fodder on one of the last remaining musically-heroic ikons from my not-so-distant past, PETER MURPHY (swoon...)

Nice to see this sort of vintage stuff surfacing after so many years (and made available for free!)

Then, there's this really sort of weird little AUDIO INTERVIEW someone who goes by the name of Nardwuar the Human Serviette who has made available at his website-- it's great, he gets Peter to talk more about his approach to sufi music and other influences for his writing while he's been living in Istanbul (which I personally can't ever get enough of). The interview is actually quite amusing, especially towards the end where you can hear in Peter's voice that he's just about had enough of his interviewer...
