AVA MENDOZA is an improvising guitarist, electronic musician and composer who lives in Oakland, California. She spends most of her time playing guitar and making music using mixing board feedback and other analog electronics, although she also devotes large amounts of time to cooking elaborate, though often inedible meals, and watching films with her small cat, Godzilla. She feels lucky to have worked with/for many great musicians including Anthony Braxton, J.A. Deane, Stefan Dill, Al Faaet, Malcolm Goldstein, Kurt Heyl, Kurt Kotheimer, Chris Jonas, Andrea Lieberherr, and Big City Orchestrae, among others...
